The room we stayed in was right off of either a common room or the owners dining area. It was hard to tell since her upstairs flat where she lived was under construction, so possibly a temporary arrangement. The room was big, but it felt like we were staying in the owners room, so more AirBnB and less B&B.

We stayed in this quaint, charming B&B and had a wonderful time. Elena was extremely nice and helpful. We had a private room and bathroom, and since Elena did not stay there, we had access to the kitchen and dining area, also. It was like having our own little apartment! Everything was clean and comfortable and I would highly recommend this place.

I stayed here for 5 days. The place is right in the city centre, and it has got a very welcoming, friendly, cosy atmosphere, thanks to its very helpful and kind owner. When you stay here, you feel as if you are a resident of Parma, and not just a tourist.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, cosily decorated and give a feeling of warmth. The place is just a few minutes away from the main square, all tourist attractions like the Duomo and Baptistery and opera house Teatro Regio di Parma. There isn't an elevator, and the rooms are on the upper floor, so make sure your suitcase is not extra heavy :)

The first two days I stayed in a double room, then had to change to the single room due to new arriving guests. But it wasn't much of a problem, the owner organised everything quickly. The owner and her family was very helpful. They helped me to carry my suitcase upstairs, and also they brought me a bottle opener when I needed one for the wine, thanks again :) I would like to stay here again if I come to Parma in the future.

I stayed at the B&B San Francesco this past September. When I travel in Italy I enjoy staying in historical buildings and this building was great. The room was spotless and Elena, the innkeeper and her mother, Grazianna, was so very kind and helpful. I appreciated their knowledge of the city and willingness to help me find my way around especially because I was traveling solo. I also truly appreciated that Elena has a firm grasp of the English language, as my Italian is not so great. The B&B is minutes from the the main part of historical Parma and also close to the business area and train station. I was able find stores to buy an electric adapter for my phone charger and some necessities that I forgot to pack. I could walk to the train station and buy my ticket to Milan the day before I left. Overall, my trip to Parma was wonderfull, due in a large part to Elena and her kindness. I would like to return to Parma, and I would definitely contact Elena at B&B San Francesco in hopes of staying there again.

My husband and I stayed here for several nights in September. We found our host very kind and she made excellent pastries and strong coffee. Our room was clean and we enjoyed staying in a historic building so close to the town centre. There was absolutely no problem with access or the locks - workable and easy at all times. Parma was a beautiful town and we enjoyed cycling round.
