I had a pleasure to stay with my family in Grand Hotel de la Ville for a few days at the end of October. I cannot express enough how happy we were with the hotel. Great location, spotless, quiet, outstanding service with one of the best breakfast offers in Italy. Outstanding value for money as well. Once you par your car in their garage, you really do not need it any more. Everything can be done on foot. Furthermore, there is a shopping center attached to it as well and that will meet all you needs. Staff at the reception are always happy to assist you with a proper advice. It is also very hand that they have a travel desk on the main entrance and that is the well of tourist information. Really wonderful experience and I would most certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a memorable stay in Parma.

The hotel is perfect if you arrive by car and wish to explore the city by foot. There is a possibility to park the car and staff of the hotel will take care of parking.

Rooms have a good size and are comfortable.

Surprising was a change of the soap every day. This in my opinion is not needed.

Staff at the reception is very helpful. U fortunately a big disappointment was the breakfast. It is not worth taking it. Choice is very little and service not good. If you wish a coffee speciality you have to wait for a long time. It was the same every morning during my stay for 3 nights. The hotel is to be recommended if you do not wish to have breakfast.

we have arrived and got a medium, I would say almost expensive walk-in-rate on the last double room available. Concierge was very nice and helpful, like all staff is very friendly there. But it does not help: as the rooms are very clean, but wifi is a scandal ! also breakfast for 5 stars is absolutely poor !

Room tip: rooms near front entrance should be more quiet

New modern hotel, large room, quiet, convenient location not far from city centre. New bathroom. Good breakfast. Shopping centre with stores and restaurants nearby. Parking available. Baby bed provided for us.

Everything about this hotel is 'as advertised' except that the promised sauna and turkish bath were closed. Unfortunately, this (and the secure parking) was the feature that had attracted us to pay such a high price for accommodation in Parma in the first place. Perhaps that is why the closure was not advertised during the booking process, as it would have deterred us from booking here. At any rate, the breakfast buffet was very good, with cappuccino's available to order from the serving staff. The front desk gentleman, Stefano, was very courteous and helpful in recommending restaurants as well as helping us with any other information we were seeking. Everything is walking distance from the hotel, and we were picked up/dropped off at the door for our Cheese tour. The lighting switches were a bit tricky to get used to, but once we figured it all out it was good. Good linens and bedding. Wifi worked well in the room.
