We stayed a night here, we have been before. The rooms are a good price and fine, nothing very special but clean and functional. Our room faced the main square which is great for the views but at night it is so noisy, we barely slept at all what with late night drunks and when they left the street cleaners and dustbin lorries arrived.
Breakfast is buffet style and included in the price.
A good value hotel but noisy.

Beautifully appointed room, with fabric walls instead of wallpaper. All the furnishings were immaculate, in our room and all the public areas. Had a stylish marble bathroom. the hotel is In the best position beside Piazza Maggiore, which is full of life and lots going on, although the hotel rooms are very quiet. It is a small hotel, so you get to know all the very welcoming staff. They provide beautifully presented buffet breakfasts. Bologna - what a surprise - an endlessly beautiful city, without the crowds of tourists in Florence and Verona. Bologna has a huge train network to all parts of Italy. There are hi-speed trains, and the slower trains have comfortable seats in second class. If there are two or more in the party it is price comparable to get a taxi from the airport, rather than getting the bus to the rail station, then another bus to the hotel. A visit to Modeno is brilliant - another beautiful town, with a visit to Enzo Ferrari's home and the shuttle bus to Pavarotti's home and Marenello. Great place to eat in Bologna - Impero at the top end of Via Independza, in the evenings, a huge choice of antipesto, a pizza and an Aperol spritzer for 9 Euros.

This is a charming and elegant 3-star hotel. We were offered Orologio after being displeased with our room at the Commercianti, and enjoyed it from the onset. It’s located in a beautiful square in the historic center. We stayed in a small suite with a pleasant décor and a nice view of the square. The staff was friendly and helpful. A buffet breakfast included a range of good quality breads, juices, coffee, and tea, among other cold products. On the downside, in the second evening we felt an uncomfortable odor in the bathroom that needs to be looked at. We also felt that the wifi network and speed could be stronger and easier to access. There were dead spots in the room where we could not use it.

Room tip: If I recall well, we stayed in room 44, which is quite pleasant, apart from the bathroom odor.

This hotel is in a great location, just off the main Piazza. The rooms were a little small, but certainly no smaller than in other central city hotels. The room was spotlesly clean, and the reception was friendly and helpful. as a place to stay when visting Bologna, it certainly did the trick. Parking it at their sister hotle around the corner, and costs 26 euros a day. The only thing slightly letting it down were the breakfasts - which were pretty boring for the food capital of Italy! Overall though, a good place to stay

I like to pick a comfortable, welcoming hotel when we first arrive in Europe and this hotel met the mark. It is very well located, just off the main square, but quiet and comfortable. Our room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a beautiful array of fruit, yogurt, cereal, pastries, meats and cheeses. The staff was very friendly and helpful and recommended an excellent restaurant. We hope to return some day.
