“Perfect apartment, perfect hosts and fabulous location”

My husband and I stayed with our two children and found this apartment to be absolutely perfect. The views are stunning, the location is wonderful - a short walk to the wonderful Trastevere markets and restaurants - and Enrico and his mother couldn't have been more helpful and responsive. Enrico even organised a car and driver to pick us up from the airport. The apartment had everything from a coffee maker to air-conditioning and washing machine, all of which worked perfectly. Our children were especially appreciative of the wi-fi, which was fast and seamless. The beds were comfortable, the living area spacious and the kitchen had everything we could have needed, even though we ended up eating out more than we intended, because of all the wonderful little local eateries.

The only thing I'd mention is that, being at the top of the hill would make it difficult for elderly people or those with disabilities. While the building has a lift, the hill does not - we didn't find this to be a problem at all and our children loved the little staircases down the hill to the shops and markets below.

The apartment is close enough to get to the major sites but is still secluded and private - like a little oasis. And even though I've already mentioned the views, they deserve a second mention. We had a wonderful time watching a storm roll across the city at one point and just seeing the way the light changed the look of the scenery at different times of the day. We definitely give the apartment five stars and thoroughly recommend it!

The apartment was as advertised and for an Italian apartment it is spacious. It has wonderful views from every window. All the amenities are more than adequate. It is a. very comfortable place to come back to at the end of a day. It is easily accessible to all the Rome sights, either by walking or bus. We really enjoyed being in Trastevere because it felt like a neighborhood and felt safe.

“Breathtaking views of Rome!!”

This apartment was exactly like the photos and even better! The views of Rome were amazing!!! Our family of 4 rang in the new year watching fireworks light up the sky all across the city right from our living room! It was stunning to watch!

The owner was very helpful with recommendations on things to do in the city and the Trestevere neighborhood. His parents live in the building and were so sweet!! They even made us reservations at a local restaurant upon our arrival!

Speaking of Trestevere, what a wonderful area! It's a quaint neighborhood just across the Tiber river away from the noise of the city where one can experience life as a local.

The only drawback to the apartment are all the stairs leading from Trestevere to the top of the hill where the building is located. There are A LOT of them. However, you can also go through the front of the building and walk down a street with a steep and winding hill (much easier on the knees), or a bus runs every 15 minutes just outside the front gate and will take you to all the main attractions. We never waited on the bus because we're not very patient people (ha!) and the stairs provided a great workout!

Hands down, this was one of the nicest apartments I've booked when traveling in Europe. For those with mobility issues, this apartment might not be a good fit, but I'd definitely recommend it to families or singles! This place was excellent!

“Lovely apartment with great views of Rome”

Enrico's apartment was perfect for our five day stay in Rome. It is very clean, comfortable and offers a peaceful retreat from the mayhem of Rome below. The views are indeed spectacular, public transport is handy and the climb down (and up) the 80 odd steps to Trastevere proper is worth it with a great choice of cafes, shops and a small daily market. The little lift makes the fourth floor apartment easily accessible - just make sure you close the door properly each time you use it! Enrico was quick to respond to any inquiry - What's App the best way of contact - and arranged transfers for us from airport on arrival and to station on departure. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable retreat during a Roman holiday.

“Truly Beautiful View of Rome”

Perched high on a hill on the edge of Trastevere overlooking Rome. You are able to see Palatine Hill area with a wonderful panoramic view of the city. We watched fireworks in the distance on Friday night.
Trastevere is a convenient area to stay away from the tourist areas. Lots of restaurants, bars, small markets nearby. We never did find a larger market but I'm sure there is one not too far away. We didn't do any cooking while we were there. We ate at L'Archetto II for 3 nights in a row. Close walk with a large selection of spaghetti dishes, pizza and meats.
Bus stops are close by. The 115 stops directly at the apartment which will take you near the vatican or connect with another bus to take you even closer or to the Pantheon or Piazza Navona. The 75 stops a block away and will take you to the colosseum.
There are quite a few steps down and of course back up to the apartment to get into Trastevere but you you'll have plenty more steps to deal with when visiting Romes tourists attractions.
The apartment is on the 4th floor but there is a small elevator to take you up and down.
There is a washing machine for clothes but no dryer. It was sunny the whole time so we hung our clothes and they dried pretty quickly.
There is a bar at the base of the apartment which I has a lively crowd at night but it didn't bother us any. It does open in the morning if you want a caffe and a pastry.
