First of all, let me say that Aldo and Marco are just wonderful guys to work with. Extremely accessible and responsive to questions and special requests. We needed an extra single bed for our toddler and also a small refrigerator for medication and they made sure we were all set. The room was so pretty, roomy, comfortable and immaculately clean and tidy, complete with a welcome bottle of wine and daily bottles of water and fruit. The location is perfectly situated to get to everything you want to see and also very close to bus and train. We could literally see the colosseum from our window! Marco was the perfect host, helping with storing our luggage as we arrived early and departed late to the airport. He is so nice and gave us all the info on the area that we needed. He was so accessible but yet also gave us privacy. He even called the taxi to meet us for pick up when it was time to head to the airport. Breakfast was more than enough; a mixture of breads, pastries, fruit juice, yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea, cheese and meats. I honestly have no complaints whatsoever. We would stay here again in a heartbeat if we are blessed enough to visit Rome in the future. Do not hesitate to book your stay here.

La Finestra sul Colosseo B&B was by FAR the nicest accommodations we encountered during our 12 day in Italy. The room was beautifully appointed and our breakfast was fantastic. Our hosts met us at the door when we arrived and we're more than accommodating during our entire visit. The location was perfect for us, a quick walk to the Colosseum as well as to the Metro which took us where ever we wanted to go. Short taxi rides from many of the other sites and attractions made everything easily accessible. I did not see any of the other rooms for comparison but our room was wonderfully decorated and very welcoming. We will definitely book this B&B again if we find ourselves in Rome.

We were met on arrival by Marco who made us feel very welcome and pointed out the sights of Rome on a map and made us a cup of coffee. The room was very clean, nicely furnished and spacious as was the bathroom! The bed was extremely comfortable (nice firm mattress). Only two downsides: 1. We overslept on the final morning till 10 after all the walking (but were woken by a knock on the door to check we wanted breakfast); 2. I didn't like having breakfast (although very nice) off a trolley in the bedroom.

Really enjoyed this place, looks exactly like the pictures.

Hairdryer included, towels provided. Very welcoming and friendly staff.

Breakfast is a range of pastries, yogurt and toast.

Quiet stay, not too touristy. Pretty quiet road. Remember to plan your trip around the Vatican opening times especially if you're only there a weekend. Make this your priority!

I love returning to the same hotels and cities. I feel as if I am home. So it is with La Finestra sul Colosseo, a B and B in Rome near the colosseum. The B and B is beautiful, outside the throngs of people in Rome so you have a place of peace to return to. Aldo, Gioia and Marco make your stay perfect. We will return in November. You ought to go there too.

Room tip: Choose a room on the back side of Labicana. It is quieter.
