This small hotel is caught somewhere in a time warp. The rooms are over the top Italian cheesy with brocade sofas, bedspreads and bedheads, plastic flowers everywhere and gold taps. Once you get past the not so nice glittz the rooms are especially large and well appointed and clean. The bathroom needs a make over. A step in bath is my pet hate, dangeresous and cramped. Good selection on offer for breakfast. But the location is the winner. Pedestrian street and a selection of good shops on offer. Not far from main attractions.

This is our 2nd time staying in this hotel and we would definitely stay again if we are lucky enough to return to Rome. The position is terrific, easy walking distance to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Great shopping on the doorstep and restaurants galore. Danilo at the front desk was very helpful. We had a room with a private terrace which was a lovely place to sit and sip prosecco in the evening sunshine before stepping out for a late dinner. The hotel has a lift, albeit very small, which is handy for luggage. The ensuite bathroom was a good size with a shower over the bath which most European hotels seem to have rather than a walk in shower. The curtains are black out style and the room was reasonably quiet.

Room Tip: The room with private terrace is great if you plan on being home in the afternoon/evening.

Occasionally you come across a real gem of a hotel - this is one of them. The staff were extremely kind and friendly. For instance they recommended us a great local restaurant to us and also on the last evening offered to book us a taxi to the airport before we even needed to ask.
The rooms are very comfortable and the hotel
has a breathtaking top floor breakfast room with wonderful views. It is very convenient for the shops, Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain an other attractions.

The Hotel is a walking distance from Spanish steps & in the heart of the shopping district. U r a few steps away from many attractions, surrounded by cafes & restaurants. Rooms style is old with a lot of gold . I stayed at the Verdi suit . Room size good in good shape, screen very small have almost all essentials yet not luxurious as I thought it would be. Very narrow entrance, elevator old max takes 2/3 people very slow too.
Reception not knowledgeable failed several times to give directions to were I would like to go thanks for google maps has done the job.
Breakfast room on top small again 15 people max . Eggs are usually cold, pastries one day fresh one day not. Choice very limited. Service is a bit slow they never check if you are missing something or need something extra.
Price is expensive compared to what they offer yet you save on transportation, u get to walk & c the streets & people.
U can negotiate a discount if you pay cash with reception too.

One may or may not like the 80s style over decoration and the small bathrooms of this hotel, but it is very clean, with firm beds, helpful and well mannered staff, and a satisfactory breakfast on the top floor with a postcard-view of Rome’s roofs and monuments.

Only problem: the room was overheated.

Good value for money on weekdays.
