Check in was swift staff friendly and very helpful ..our room was on the 5th floor nice room quite small but adequate large bathroom with walk in shower ...hairdryer...toiletries and bath robes
The most comfortable bed ever !! Nice clean bedding ...tea/coffee making facilities...tv and mini bar ...free WiFi was excellent ...hard flooring no carpet ...which I think is so much nicer ...the only thing to let the room down was the view of the inside area of a group of buildings though it was lovely and quiet ...a room with a view of the road would have been better ...
The hotel has no restaurant...breakfast help yourself a wide choice of cold pastries cereals rolls bread fruit cold meat yogurt hot food of scrambled eggs bacon and boiled eggs lots of coffee from machines which was very nice and juice ...there is a nice lounge area the bar opens at 5.30pm in the breakfast room ...we decided to have a drink before we left for dinner ...the service was nonexistent ! We were the only ones the whole week that decided to use the bar so I guess you could say ...it doesn’t really need to be staffed ...then they shouldn’t have a bar ...couldn’t have the cocktail I wanted as no ingredients!
The hotel is situated on quite a busy road but it’s in the heart of everything it could not have been in a better place ...walking distance to the Big Bus Rome stop ...also the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain (a little hilly) but a lovely walk ...plenty of restaurants in walking distance ...choose carefully...Il Cortile/la Residenza restaurant Via Emilia 22 ...just around the corner ...20euro chef special lamb chops ...more fat than meat worst I have ever seen paid just over 100 Euro for the worst meal ever ...I ordered roast beef my plate was covered in chewy awful meat no sauce we didn’t have dessert !! Staff member lovely and chatty till he got us inside ...a very grumpy young man ...Don’t go there !!
Our hotel recommended Trattora Tempio Di Bacco ...on the road to the back of the hotel ...service good staff lovely food ok not worth another 100euro but nicer than the other ...on our last day we found Ciampini restaurant just pasted the top of the Spanish Steps...absolutely beautiful wish we had found it sooner
Great hotel perfect for exploring the city !

When we booked this hotel for 6 nights we were told that the hotel was recently renovated and upgraded therefore, knowing the location we were glad to pay 250 euros for 2 connecting rooms breakfast included. Which for Rome is quite good for a 4 stars
Upon our arrival the first surprise were the minimalist sizes of the room and almost non existent closets, then the beds were hard as a rock and do not even mention the pillows, up to the point that we have to buy our own pillows. The connecting rooms were not as such. The two rooms were separated from the other rooms through a metal fire door, ridiculous!!!
The location is great, and the staff had the right attitude to make our stay the best possible.
The hotel property should do better giving the hotel management the appropriate elements to justify the rate of 4 stars which for my point of view they are luckybgetting a 3 stars rating
A tremendous room of improvement in this property of owners invest some money, once again the staff was great !!!
I wouldn’t recommend it in the actual conditions except if you are a budgeted traveler and do not expect much for your money

This was the last leg of a three week trip. We stayed in 8 different 4 star hotels so we had something to compare this hotel to. Check in was fine. Nice enough staff. I read this hotel was renovated??? The renovation seemed poorly done. There were poorly done tile grouting (mold all over our shower floor) and broken fixtures in our room. Glass toothbrush holders broken and chipped in both our rooms. We had a double and triple for family of five.
I can’t say the staff was nice, we never saw them. When we came down for breakfast, the associate at the front desk always had her head down.
Breakfast was horrible. Truly ! The food was in a small area, people would push you to get to what was there, not much. Danish and little cakes stale.
Coffee out of a nestle machine. Staff at breakfast not nice.
Not sure how people rated this hotel so well.
Only pros: rooms are sizable for city hotel.
Shower pressure great!

Cons: horrible decor
Room renovation shoddy
Beds; sleeping on a brick! Very hard
Room shutters didn’t open well. No natural sunlight. Rooms 107 and 106.

Sorry just really did not like this hotel.
Bring your own soap and shampoo. Even with tipping housekeeping every day, couldn’t get bar of soap.
No small touches you usually see in a four star hotel.
Get coffee across street at bar Ludovisi if you are staying at this hotel. They don’t serve coffee before 7:00 at the hotel. Bar Ludovisi: so friendly and great real coffee!!!!! (And opens early if you have an early flight and need real coffee)

Bathroom awkward. Have to be 6 feet to reach towel rack. Sorry this is long. Too many things I didn’t care for.

We’ve just spent 4 nights at the Ludovisi Palace and would recommend

It’s in a great location, we got a taxi from the railway station costing 12 euros

Reception staff are all very friendly, and very helpful with directions , advice& recommendation

We had a triple room which although was very cramped it was clean, good air con and a great shower

Breakfast is very basic, but plenty of it

Metro tubes are only a few minutes walk from hotel (so is the Hard Rock Cafe)

Taxi back to the airport was 65 euros

Definitely be returning

Wonderful hotel, not far from the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, cafes, restaurants and Metro station.
Thank you for making this into a wonderful weekend break and for the lovely bottle of bubbly to celebrate my birthday- such a lovely surprise after the flight delays and late arrival.
Breakfast is adequate- enough to keep you going till lunch and the wait staff are extremely helpful as are the hotel reception staff. Always smiling and courteous.
