Feels like home. Couldn't have had a better accommodation. Mauro gave us a rundown of the area and walked us to a fabulous pizzeria (pepe's) as we arrived late and wanted a quick bite. Perfect location. Close to metro 15 min to colosseum. Amazing restaurants. Gellateria, fresh deli meats cheese across the street. Close to supermarkets as well. The apartment is beautifully furnished with every amenity. 5 stars very highly recommend. Thank you Mauro and your lovely wife!

“Stop looking, this is the place”
Reviewed 15 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

An apartment all to ourselves without owner presence is what we were looking for and found here.
If you can book this apartment you will be so pleased.

Mauro clearly is a good family man and was 100% the real deal.
Mauro met us and showed us the apartment.
Front door on the Main Street directly into the efficient lift to the 3rd floor and the apartment is right there.
Very quiet, we never heard the lift.
Because it's a privately owned apartment block we were never subject to wild holiday makers I'm guessing the owners live there with the exception of Mauro who has a home in the suburbs.
A complete home from home with a fully equipped kitchen, marble floors throughout so cool and very cosseting.
A superb bathroom with 3 hair driers, at the risk of sounding churlish the clip on attachment didn't fit but the spacious fully marbled bathroom was a delight along with a power point at the end of each twin basin.
The shower was a twin version i.e. Drench and separate movable shower head.
I reccomend you use the movable head as it's almost impossible to maintain a constant temperature but we survived.
We opted for a bath in the end, sadly the main dual tap would only operate in the shower head mode so we used this to fill the bath ( time to fill 1.5 glasses of wine)
The air con in both rooms was very efficient and the beds were good ( there never going to be as good as home lets face it)
The balcony was small but perfectly formed and we were able to sip our drinks semi clad and watch the wonders of the Roman drivers intertwining each other, they are so polite when one needs to cross the road it is heartwarming really.
I must confess to drying a small amount of laundry off the balcony in the early morning sun, very British but practical nevertheless.
Living room was hardly used as we were either sleeping, showering, out or on the balcony.
Plethora of shops on the street below and a supermarket 6 minutes walk away.

On our first evening Mauro ever so obliging providing maps and he even insisted on walking us to the local supermarket to stock up.

Mauro Reccomended a backstreet 8mins walk family restaurant which we opted for on the Wednesday evening and it was packed with locals.
It was very friendly but the menu and the food was not outstanding, I'd plumb for somewhere else on the Main Street which is right outside the apartment front door, peruse the menu and see if it's for you.

Location:
Walking 10 mins to Metro leading to the entirety of Rome.
We bought a "Romapass" that gave us free travel bus/metro/for our 3day stay, this also gets you free entrance to 2 places of interest ie colosseum, though not the Vatican.( nb. Book the fast entrance to the Vatican using only their web site, you will thank me when you see the standard queue 2hrs in 32 celsius!
Tip: carry water to drink.

So the bottom line is would we book with Mauro again? In a heartbeat.
Super chap.

Fantastic location! Less than a 10 minute walk to the Coliseum and within minutes of several wonderful restaurants and markets. The apartment was beautiful and very comfortable. The owners were wonderful and welcoming and very easy to work with. We would definitely stay again!

We traveled with friends and all 4 of us arrived in the morning and the owners were very warm and inviting. We had never been to Rome and they were more than happy to show us around the immediate area, including a delicious breakfast across the street, and a great restaurant for dinner. We were only there for a short stay, but felt we would have enjoyed an entire week in the comfortable apt a short walk away from many great things to see and do. If we ever get back to Rome, this is where we would want to stay. Grazie!
