“Nice and Well Located”
Reviewed 30 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

I stayed for a whole week at Alice B&B, I have to say that it was very confortable. Giussepe the owner was really kind and helpful. What I really liked was that is extremely well located, specially walking distance to the FAO where I was working the whole week. You only need 15 minutes and you are at the FAO Headquarters.
At night you can go out for dinner to places that are walking distance that are serving Roman Cuisine like "La Romana" and also 0km food like "Romulo y Remo".
You can walk to the Coliseum and also to Piazza Venezia, you can take the bus to go to the city center (including Termini Station).
I will defenitely recommend Alice B & B, becuase you will have the feeling you are staying at some of your friend, you will never have the feeling you are staying in a NON PERSONAL HOTEL. The Cappucino and the Corneto in any of the little Cafés around the corner, will reconfirm you a very pleasant stay.

“Good Stay”
Reviewed 29 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We stayed for the Easter weekend for 5 nights in 2 double rooms, the Pompeian Red rooms. The rooms were decent size and were clean, but scuffed a little. The bathroom doors were from milk glass so you could basically see through them, which was not a big deal for us but maybe something to keep in mind. For breakfast we had vouchers to a nearby cafe for 1 pastry and 1 coffee drink (a real Italian breakfast). There is access to a kitchen that you share with the other guests and we used it a couple of times and it had all of the basics necessary to be able to use it. The distance to the sites is about 15-20mins by foot to the Colosseum, and much longer to the other main sites, but there is good public transportation by bus that will take you to the city center and a metro stop that can take you quickly to both Vatican city and the Rome's historic center is about a 7-10 min walk away. Overall, the accommodation was good for the price. We only had 2 issues, first the bathroom plumbing uses an electrical pump and everything is connected. So that when our bathroom stopped working at 9:00pm and the sewage needed to go somewhere it went into the bathtub. Giuseppe was very quick and helpful in trying to deal with the situation, at the end it ended up working again and Giuseppe personally washed the bathtub with industrial strength cleaners. The other issue was that we could not use our breakfast vouchers on our last day because the cafe was closed, we left on Easter Sunday and though we asked Giuseppe about that ahead of time he thought the cafe would be open and we did not bother checking with the cafe so we went without breakfast that day. Otherwise, Giuseppe was very helpful and even with a late change to our departure schedule, we ended up needing a taxilater on, he managed to get the change in for us on the busy Easter Sunday.

“Great Stay”
Reviewed 25 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We stayed 1 week in Alice`s B&B. And really enjoyed the stay. Very clean and nice atmosphere. The bedroom is a little bit small, but as we´ve been out mostly to discover rome, that point is not so important. There is a small kitchen and the possibility to cook small meals ( two stove plates). The B&B is in a nice, peaceful, quiet part of rome, but also very close to the centre and underground-station (ca. 10 min. walk). The owner Giuseppe is a very helpful, uncomplicated and friendly person. He lives with his family next door and was always available to answer questions. The free breakfast we could choose in one of two coffee-bar´s. Both are typical italian and the cappuccino, mmmhhhh so yummy :-)
We will stay here every time again, and we are very happy to found such a nice place with also fair price.

“Great owner, great location, great value”

Alice's Bed & Breakfast is located in a residential neighborhood that gives you a quiet place to rest for the night but is also close downtown. The Coliseum is only about a 15 walk away and from there it is easy to walk to Trevi Fountain and beyond, seeing everything along the way. The metro stop is about seven minutes away and can take you from one end of the city to the other. I stayed in the green room. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and neat and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast is provided at a café across the street.

Giuseppe is an outstanding host, as was his wife, Carol. He met me at the B&B to give me the keys and show me around. He was nice, knowledgeable, and very helpful, especially in what could have been a stressful situation (lost passport); he went above and beyond what I would have expected.

I am planning to get my sister to go back to Rome with me and will not hesitate to book with Giuseppe again.

“Excellent Stay! Great Host!”

We stayed at Alice's B&B in May 2013 and had a wonderful vacation. The property is in excellent condition - very clean and very updated. Our room and bathroom was spacious and just what we were looking for - we were very impressed!

The property is in a more residential neighborhood and is about a 15 minute walk from the Colosseum and not too far from the T. We were a little disoriented when we first arrived in Rome and set out to find Alice's but it was great using the Colosseum as our landmark each night. The host provides daily breakfast vouchers and we enjoyed having a pastry a coffee with the locals in the area each morning.

The owner was easily accessible when we needed him and was very accommodating of our requests. We even woke him up early in the morning when we were checking out and he couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful!

Excellent stay!
