The location of this hotel is what sells it. Our room overlooked the Pantheon, we upgraded and it was worth it. The pantheon alone would be amazing but the street performers and music until the wee hours of the night made this so much fun. The hotel is kind of hidden, when facing the Pantheon, it’s on your right, between two cafes. The rooms are ultra modern and we slept on a loft. Below the loft was a hot-tub that was covered by leather cushions, that could be used as another bed. The downside to this hotel is there was no place to just chill. No couches or chairs. Or lobby. But the ac was cold, bathroom was clean and blow dryer was powerful. I’d recommend this to a friend.

My family and I stayed here for the week and we loved everything about this hotel. For the 3 of us, myself, my wife and my teenage daughter, we found the room to have plenty of space. With a bedroom that overlooked the Pantheon Square, and a separate living room with a large pullout sofa, there was more than enough room for us to relax. I think the best part of the hotel was the balcony overlooking the Pantheon Square. Sure it's busy during the day time, but the music and crowd noise was somehow relaxing. Everything was within walking distance of the hotel. Whether it be restaurants, shopping, or historical sites, they were all within mere blocks of the hotel.

As for restaurants, the ones right outside on the square were open late, which was nice, but they were a bit over priced because of the shear volume of tourists on the square. But if you walk a block or 2 in any direction there were much better restaurants at half the price.

The beauty of the hotel was during the early morning or late night hours when you could walk the Pantheon with absolutely no tourists.

Don't be afraid by other reviews that say catching taxis or uber is difficult at this location. There is no auto traffic allowed on the Pantheon Square, but catching an uber or taxi is just 1 block away.

Staying at this hotel put a damper on our Italian vacation. I traveled for nine days in Italy with four adult family members and we all agreed that the Pantheon Suites was the worst of all our hotels. Our traveling party rented three rooms in total. The rooms looked to be stylish at one time, but after years of use they seemed tired and dated. More importantly, none of the rooms were adequately cleaned. There was dust on the surfaces, one toilet hadn't been flushed when we arrived, and there was a musty smell all around. My parents were so unhappy with their "upgraded" room that they decided to switch to a basic. It was the same, but had a larger bathroom. Although the front desk attendant was polite and accommodated the request, she was visibly annoyed. She asked whether the guests had touched anything in their old room, hinting that she might not need to check it or clean it after them. She said she was the only staff working and didn't want to leave the desk unattended. When I told her they used one glass and one towel she seemed satisfied.

Aside from the cleanliness issue, be advised that this hotel does not have a lobby space. The only gathering space is a small area off the second floor where some patio furniture is situated. It was too hot to sit there for long, since the building's air conditioning systems outputted hot air into the enclosure.

The hotel's elevator is very small, and there is only one staff member on site between 9am-7pm. Off hours, guests access the building with their key cards, although we found the front door was always standing wide open. This worried me for security reasons, since it is located directly next to the Pantheon attraction in a main square. With the main entrance being open, anyone could stroll in and walk up the stairs to the suites. There was also a cosmetic business being run out of a second floor unit, with customers coming and going throughout the day.

Dear guest,

First of all we would like to thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our hotel on tripadvisor.com. We are sure that any kind of comments from our clients are important to improve the quality of our hotel. We are sorry to receive a review that is unusual for us by the time most of the comments regarding the hotel, staff and cleanliness are more than positive.
We understand that you are reporting something happened to your parents and therefore we would like to point out some additional information that will help to clarify the misunderstanding.
We upgraded your parents’ reservation from a double standard to a double deluxe, which is a room facing the Pantheon. This is a great value which is always appreciated from our guests, they love the view from the window, from where they can admire the magnificence of the Pantheon and the vitality of the square with its magical atmosphere created by the music of the talented street artists.
The deluxe room has a daily rate higher than the room booked of approximately Euro 60,00 per night. Despite that, your parents were not happy with that room because of the noise coming from the square and they asked to change room. The hotel was fully booked and most of the rooms already checked in. In order to give them the best solution in the shorter time she asked whether the room was used or not and assign a standard room in few minutes. They thanked and tiped her for managing their issue and we are happy to understand that they were happy with the new room. Please kindly note that the never mentioned any issue regarding the cleanliness, if mentioned we would have checked immediately.

The staff has been very efficient in order to satisfy your requests and you can also verify the professionalism of our staff from the positive comments that our guests leave on Tripadvisor.

Regarding the lift, the property is located in an ancient, historical building and it is a the privilege to have a lift ! we regret you found it small, however it allows to carry people and bags properly.

We regret that the hotel did not meet your expectation, however we do believe that you were not informed about the property when the rooms were booked.
All the information about opening time of the reception, elevator, lobby spaces are available online in our official website and in the main OTA we cooperate with, we regret you missed them
When the reception is closed, an attendant is present in the property and telephone assistance is available 24h. Guests can open the main door with the key card they receive at the check-in in order to be able to enter and exit at any time. The square is always guarded by the police and military arm for 24 hours and we have never had security problems.

Again, we are deeply sorry you did not appreciate your stay with us, but we hope to welcoming you again for a future stay in Rome.

Thank you and best regards

From the friendly staff, convenient location, to the quiet and quaint room we had - we absolutely adored our stay here!

We arrived after the front desk had closed for the night, but we called 15 minutes before arrival and a night porter greeted us at the door. They were very friendly and got us checked in, even helped us figure out our door (you have to push / not pull your hotel door!) Thank you to the other reviewers who said to look for the # 7 on the front of the hotel. We found this hotel within seconds of being dropped off at the Pantheon.

We had a room without a view, and it was still beautiful. This room has been updated with all amenities, and the air conditioning was incredible. We knew from the other reviews that the rooms ran on the smaller side, but the size of our room worked for us. Smaller yes, but there was plenty of closet and desk top space for our bags. Loved having a safe in our room, all around, we felt very safe our entire stay here at the Pantheon Royal Suites.

Being so close to the Pantheon was incredible. We will be recommending this hotel to our friends and family in the future!

*photo attached shows where the Pantheon is located from the front door of the hotel.

My family and I stayed at the Pantheon Royal Suites in early June, and upon our arrival were immediately blown away by its location. Below are some pros and cons of the hotel.

Pros:
Location- this hotel is literally in the middle of it all. You can walk to every sightseeing location with 15 minutes or less. Right outside of the hotel is the famous Pantheon square with multiple restaurants, shopping, etc.
Hotel- rooms were clean, and hotel is conveniently located and easy to find (by cab or on foot).
Food- although the hotel didn’t have food (since it’s a smaller boutique hotel) there are plenty of restaurant options right at your doorstep.
Staff- front desk staff is very polite and helpful to answer any questions you have.

Cons:
the only con I can think of was that the rooms were a bit on the small side and our room didn’t have any views. The walls are a bit thin and you can often hear what’s going on next door. There was also some construction going on next door which was a bit loud at times, however that noise wasn’t an issue at night.

Overall: I’d consider staying at this hotel again, purely based on location and the affordability. It wasn’t a bad deal for the location.

Dear guest,

Thank you for taking part of your time to share your experience on tripadvisor.com.
We are very happy to know you enjoyed the central location and the professionalism of our staff: we work hard and with passion in order to make our guests happy!! We are happy to know you appreciated the room cleanliness, that is one of the most important point on which our staff pay a high level of attention.
Regarding the room size, all our rooms are accordant with the standard size of other European hotels and the hotels of the city center, but remind that reception is always at your disposal also for a room change.
Regarding the constructions we kindly inform you that is not our property that is working on it; however they work during the week and during the day time in order not to disturb our guests.
We hope to see you again for your next stay in Rome: one of our bigger room with view is waiting for you!
Best regards
