Description: The Heart Of Roman Cuisine in Testaccio Ristorante & Pizzeria

We discovered Ai Cocci our first night in Rome and wound up coming back three times during our stay. This is a local neighborhood gem. Food is fantastic. The Cacio e pepe is best we had in Rome and the thin crust pizza is amazing. They also have an excellent selection of wines. The atmosphere is cozy, but what kept us coming back was the staff. The owner Payel and our waiter Lorenzo went out of their way to make us feel like family. This dining experience is everything we expected from this fantastic city. If you are anywhere near this neighborhood, I strongly encourage you to give this place a try - you won't regret it!

Had several meals during our stay - Delicious food and very friendly service.
If I lived here this would be my local favourite and if back in Rome we will visit again !

A real gem! We found this place on our first night in Rome, the food was delightful, the staff attentive, even the music was great! They were very accommodating of our shameful lack of local language, and simply couldn't do enough for us. In our short stay we returned two more times, trying other dishes and wine. Couldn't believe the prices, too, very affordable for such a major city! Highly recommended!

Disappointing considering the recent reviews. The fried artichoke tasting like nothing more than grease. Ordered the carbonara which was saturated in fluorescent yellow sauce and so so salty. I was super excited about the “potato and truffle stuffed” Ravioli to find out it was potato only stuffed with sliced truffle on top that had absolutely zero taste. Gorgeous presentation, but a zero on taste. Would not recommend Ai Cocci at all

Stoped by for aperitivo. Had a bottle of red wine, excellent Jewish artichokes, and bruschetta. Very good and friendly service. Recommended.
