The tag team of waiters slugging you into ordering is aggressive in the extreme. The place smelled like a sewer had cracked open and spritzed the restaurant with pungent essence that grew stronger the longer we sat there. The wine was supermarket quality and the food—the food could have saved it but it was rubbery, slimy, tasteless and gray. AVOID.

We read so many nice reviews about this restaurant. We thought it would be also a bit more dressed up then others seeing the photos.
The food was not that great. Sure home made but it has flat flavours. Service not that friendly while Rome is so nice. Don't walk all the way (there is nothing around this restaurant to see or do either). The atmosphere was a bit canteen style. Toilet doors open into the dining.
You can eat better than this in Roma.

We visited Rome when I ran the Maratona Di Roma and were looking for restaurant for the night before the run.

We opted for Felice a Testaccio due to its local vibe and weren’t disappointed. The waiter recommend some great local dishes that were super tasty and great for cargo loading!!

It was packed with locals, it was nice to sample the local culture.

Traditional food in a modern setting with excellent service. Our first courses were ravioli della Felice (with tomatoes, herbs and ricotta) and mezzemaniche with bacon, pecorino and chilli, our mains were roast lamb with potatoes, and veal saltimbocca, with in season artichokes, and asparagus, and our desserts were Black Forest cake, and semi freddo with almonds. The bill, with a bottle of red wine, came to135 euros. All the waiting staff were excellent and we got a particularly good wine recommendation. Booking is only by telephone and confirmation by email is not possible but there was no issue on arrival. Food was excellent and this was a not only a great dinner venue but also probably the best value meal we had in Rome.

We went here with reservation,so didn't have any problems. I noticed half the place was tourists and other half locals, so its getting popular.
Ordered cacio e pepe and the veal to share.
The pasta was to die for. Perfectly cooked and seasoned.
Veal was good too. Didn't had much herbs and tasted awesome.
Prices are a little higher but so are portions.
