Having previously fallen in love with this hotel, last summer we made our way for the annual "pilgrimage" but were disappointed on several fronts.
Despite paying 260Euro/night (B&B) for a double with added child bed, the rate was considered too economical by the hotel to merit full service, so we were not given the free slippers which are standard in any medium level Italian hotel. When 3 British friends of ours and prospective clients asked to join us on the private beach for 1.5 hours of chatting and swimming, using their own towels and sharing our 2 beach chairs, we were charged 60Euro "for their use of the beach facilities".
Dinner in the hotel restaurant is very nice, however the fresh fish is displayed on the dining terrace and attracts dozens of wasps among diners. I wouldn't go there if I were allergic to wasps. The staff were overall polite but certainly not friendly (apart from the really nice lifeguards).
If the devil is in the detail, I think next Summer I will find a friendlier place to spend my meagre 260Euro/night.

Room Tip: The central tower block rooms are more expensive but larger and have nice balconies

The Hotel is beautiful and just opposite is the ocean, which is always nice to wake up and look out your balcony in the morning then go down to the beach. Its a perfect place if you just wish to relax and enjoy the views that surround Gaeta. The staff were truly wonderful throughout the stay and were as helpful as can be, The meals were magnificent as well, Its not a place for a big family as there is not entertainment in that aspect, Its helpful to learn about the near by areas like Sperlonga for its shops and Gaeta Medievale for its history, this is also where you book the scuba dive, boat rides other information regarding other things can be found in the hotel area. The palce is perfect for people who want to absorb the views, and take in the surrounding history.

Room Tip: Balcony views of the sea

The hotel is as great as advertised. They make you book full board in August, but it is totally worth it, as the cuisine is excellent, and they have their own bakery that makes excellent pizzas and pies for breakfast. Wifi works very well both in the rooms and in the common areas, including the beach. Staff are warm, helpful, but unobtrusive. Just be warned that this place is secluded and there is hardly anything going on at the hotel after dinner. If there is supposed to be a bar open till late evening, we did not find it. For activities like diving, boat tours etc. you need to book yourself with outside providers, you may get some advertisement leaflets at the reception, but we searched on the web. The deluxe room is very well appointed with beautiful blue tiles, huge windows with a balcony and views of the sea, and picturesque "antique" furniture adding a nice local flavor. We were extremely happy to have spent our summer holiday at Le Rocce, it was truly magical. Gaeta and Sperlonga are beautiful towns nearby to walk around. You definitely need a car if you plan to stay at this hotel, but it has free parking.

Room Tip: Our deluxe double room had a large balcony and a wonderful view of the bay, we felt it was the best choice for a couple

I discovered this place on Instagram. It was beautiful. The hotel, the rooms, the views, the beach, the food, the location and the service. All was beyond my expectations! The service is so special that the hotel sent me my daughter's lost sandal to Canada when it was found a few weeks after we left. ( they also paid for shipping) First Class!
You can spend the day on the beach or you can take a day trip to Naples. You can visit a different small coastal town every night. Sperlonga was beautiful! The Gaeta area is where the Italians vacation. I now understand why.
You will love this place. It is as spectacular as all the photos you see online.
You will not be disappointed. I will return one day.

Cosy place with all rooms enjoying sea-view. Courteous staff all very accommodating and friendly. Good food and wine – try the white Biancolella from Ponza Island, one of the best whites we ever had perfectly accompanying the seafood dinner which was cooked to perfection. Fast and stable WiFi connection.

Room Tip: all rooms with sea view - spectacular
