Alfonso and Sonia provided a 5 star service throughout our week stay during in August they are super hosts and we can’t thank them enough for making our stay in Pompeii memorable. No matter how many guests they had we received a personal service.
If you want to go see Pompeii stay with Sonia and Alfonso @Pompei Suite. We were two adults with two teenagers.
Alfonso’s knowledge of the area helped us see all the traditional landmarks and others we had never heard of such as the “Castello Di Lettere” which offers a fantastic view over the surrounding area and which Alfonso brought to life with his stories of growing up there. Not only did Alfonso offer guided tours, he also dropped us off and picked us up around Pompeii - gratis. He aslo recommended the best restaurants and booked reservations. I hadn’t expected this level of service but it’s the little touches which make the difference. We would never have seen as much or understood Pompeii as we do now without his passion and knowledge.
Sonia is a great cook, breakfast was excellent and nothing was too much trouble - we visited Rome for the day (very easy given the fast train from Naples) with an early start we didn’t want to sit down and have breakfast, Sonia made us all a packed breakfast for the train, another little touch which goes a long way. We also had diner at the Pompeii Suite twice due to the quality of the local produce, home cooking and a magnificent view of Mount Vesuvius while dining.
Certainly recommend, and have....
