Great find

Had a great stay at the Smart Hotel Napoli. The room was quiet, spacious, clean and modern. Had the best sleep I’ve had in a long time, the bed was super comfortable! Check in staff were very welcoming, we arrived late at night due to delayed flight but this was not a problem.

The location was great. I see some reviews complain about it being a hike to get anywhere but if you have a good level of fitness, you can get to the Spanish quarter and Centro Storico in about 15 minutes. We walked everywhere with no issues.

My only gripes were that breakfast was really slow to be replenished, so sometimes there wasn’t much choice. Secondly, our room (224) didn’t have any daylight as looked out into a tunnel! Not an issue for us as we only stayed 3 nights so were hardly there but wouldn’t have been great for a longer stay.

Beware that on days that cruise ships are in, it’s extremely busy outside the hotel, with people trying to sell you tours whenever you leave. But in the evening, when the ships have left, you’ll have the place to yourself and it’s really quite peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the traffic and city noise.

All in all, a great find. Will definitely book again if we return to Naples, highly recommend.

Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

I cannot fault this hotel! Perfect location being just 3 stops on the bus from the airport. 2 minutes walk to the port for ferries to Sorrento etc and a short walk to the sights.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean, bright and modern. It is quiet with excellent soundproofing. Our room was on the ground floor with a terrace with table and chairs and we woke up one morning to find the biggest cruise ship we have ever seen parked outside our room - we didn't even hear it come in.

We had booked one night for the start of our trip and intended to book another hotel in Naples for the last night of our trip but decided to spend our last night at Smart Hotel because I didn't think we'd find a better hotel, so we booked it before we left.

TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL

Room tip: The quad room is brilliantly designed, with a sliding door and a roller hatch to separate the two sleeping areas.

Perfect location.

Great location if you are coming from the airport and want a connection on the ferry as the Alibus stops outside and then the ferries are also outside.
Rooms was quite and clean and the beds comfortable. Friendly staff so what else could you ask for!
Having the game of if there going to be a big boat outside was quite fun and if you book a ground floor room you get a space outside.

Fantastic stay!

A fantastic hotel in a perfect location. I have nothing but positive things to say. Check in and check out were seamless and they were happy to hold our suitcases when we arrived early and also had a late flight. We stayed in a quadruple room which was a really good size for the three of us (mum & sister). It was cleaned daily and fresh towels provided. It may have been a fluke but our room was located on the ground floor which was ideal for my mum who has mobility issues (although there is also a lift). We had a view of the sea and cruise liners.
Breakfast provided a fantastic variety of options from eggs and bacon to continental, offering local pastries for those with a sweet tooth (me!)
The hotel is in a great location within walking distance of central Naples, sights and shops. The Metro station is 5 minutes walk as is the Port for catching a hydrofoil to other islands e.g. Sorrento and Capri.
The WhatsApp chat to ask any questions or make requests was extremely beneficial and the staff were super responsive from sending links regarding excursions to responding to my request for blankets at 1am due to being cold.
Staff are extremely polite and helpful and a true credit to the hotel.
If I return to Naples I would not hesitate to stay at Smart Hotel Napoli and would highly recommend. We couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you Smart Hotel!

Don't book this hotel!!!!

Terrible experience, the worst in Italy.
Don't book this hotel!!!!

- The staff broke our luggage and the front desk advised us to email. No one responded to the e-mail and the damage is about €200,-!!
- On arrival there is unresolved parking. For two nights I paid €100,-!!
- There is a lot of noise in the hotel, so you will not sleep!!
- Dangerous location!!

Recommendation : avoid the hotel if you can. The price/performance ratio does not correspond to reality!!!
