Exceptional location

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 21 Aug 2024
Exceptional location, in the historic center of Naples, very close to the main tourist attractions and restaurants.
Very friendly receptionists, always ready to help, as well as the breakfast staff. Good breakfast, but the fruit is not peeled.
Comfortable beds and, which is rare in hotels, very comfortable pillows.
A single negative note: although cleaning was generally very good, a long hair, on the bathroom floor, accompanied us for at least the last 3 days of our stay. I hope it was my wife's...
Despite this negative note, I would stay at this hotel again.

My husband and I stayed here with another couple for 5 nights total. Two, then ferry to Positano, and back for three more nights. I was not sure what to expect, but we fell in love with this hotel and the staff. They took such great care of us, from providing great advice and guidance on how to make the most of our stay and our $$, to ensuring that everything was clean and comfortable throughout. We used the lobby nightly for a bottle of wine and cards, and by night two, the staff were leaving us glasses and a bottle opener without us even saying a word. The hotel is in a great location, walkable to everything, including the metro which was easy to navigate. Naples is a fascinating city with so much beauty and fabulous food. We truly loved our time there, and having a large and comfortable room to come back to every day was the best part. I would highly recommend this hotel!!

Room tip: Avoid taxis if possible, but if you have to, agree on price before entering- got burnt on our first day despite knowing this already.

This is a remarkably good hotel. From the moment you meet the receptionist to the breakfast staff, you are greeted by friendly, courteous individuals who are appropriately dressed and have the right attitude toward their guests. My room was on the third floor, a corner room. Immediately, it felt like a quiet, comfortably tempered space. Thanks to its good ceiling height, it was possible to have the air conditioning on at night (which was necessary with outside temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius), and I slept very well.

The breakfast was simple but freshly made and sufficient. Unfortunately, the bar was closed during the days I stayed. The TV offerings were limited; I couldn't get the tuner and TV to work, which was a bit inconvenient to have in every room.

The hotel is located right next to the two most important pedestrian streets in Naples, which is great. However, it's a bit odd that people are allowed to sleep on the benches outside. This might be something beyond the hotel's control. Additionally, the hotel is not very wheelchair accessible, with stairs here and there. The taxi driver refused to drive up to the hotel, so be prepared to walk a bit.

The hotel is in a good location and is newly renovated, however the air conditioning in our room did not work. The first night, our room got up to 27.5 C (81.5 F). The night manager was unapologetic and unhelpful kept saying it would be fixed in a few minutes - it never was. The AC was supposedly fixed the second night, but even once "fixed" the coolest our room got was 24.5 C (76.1). The second night of heat, we were ultimately given another room to move to which was also warm.

Room tip: Bring a portable fan if staying at this hotel in the summer.

We were recommended to stay here by a friend. Very central for the old town. Staff welcoming and friendly. Comfortable room and good self-service breakfast. Good choice of restaurants nearby for evening meals. Had a 3 night stay. Plenty of sight seeing before travelling further south in Italy. Don't attempt to drive in the centre of Naples!!

Very nice hotel in a bit of a chaotic city. Other reviews prepared us for a more seedy area than it actually seemed to us. Breakfast was quite good and comfortable. Rooms were spacious, though it got a bit noisy outside with cars playing radios one night and a 5am garbage truck the next. There's a bar though oddly when we asked we were told it never opens. Room was very nice and we would definitely stay here again.
