Disappointing at best. First my wife and I pay Euro 30 at the main port for a 1-1/2 hour boat tour that advertises also the Blu grotto. Later as we're board rowboats we find out the Blu grotto costs another Euro 28 and then the rowboat driver tells us in no uncertain terms we tip him on top of that. Worst off, after the 4 minutes in the Blu grotto we head straight back to Port. We dropped over $100 for the 45 Minute experience.

It will cost you between 15 and €20 per person (including your bus from Anacapri + access fee + tip), but once you get in your boat and inside the cave, it becomes the very best image of what a true azure blue is about. And it's all natural. The sun lights the water quite deep, which reflect thru the water inside de cave.
Obviously, the rowers, cashiers (on over decked boat) and other staff all belong to the local mafia.

Ok. It is beautiful to day the least but getting there will cost you 15 € by boat from the main marine. Going into the cave will cost you 14 more. The stay inside is maybe 4 minutes and is accompanied by the "singing" of the boat men which is more a parody than anything else and they are really only interested in the tip you leave at the end

You cannot come all the way and not go inside this Grotta. Yes it is expensive for the short while you are inside but I am very happy to have seen it. We were lucky because there were not so many boats on the day and it seems that if you are on a private gozzo you get to go in first
Part of the fun is to get out of your gozzo boat into the rowing boat. Next is lying flat on your back in the rowing boat to get through the low opening to the grotto. The boatsman pulls the boat through the opening on a chain. for a moment it is pitch dark and then you are through and look at the beautiful blue shimmer. I enjoyed the boatsmen's singing which resonated in the grotto. Sadly this experience lasts a very short time
Still it is something to see

Have plenty of cash for this excursion. That said it’s a pleasant boat ride to the grotto and the process of getting to the grotto a little fiddly ,but wow. Beautiful. So blue. ( could do without the singing and would be great if all you could hear was gasps about the beauty, pretty noisy) wishing it lasted a few more minutes.
