We choose Villaggio Verde as the accommodation choice with our Tui package holiday. As others have said, the staff are very friendly and helpful.. Our bungalow (cabin) was visited by a cleaner each day and the bathroom was cleaned. However, the cabin was grubby (very dirty walls next to beds, AC and TV remote and kettle base horrible - tried to avoid touching, plugholes needed bleaching, you get the picture). Kitchenette not sufficiently equipped, no microwave, kettle would not switch off, bottle shelf in fridge door missing, no chopping board, no sharp knife, no toaster to make breakfast! The pool looked lovely and clean, but much smaller than the photos make it look, room for one family to feel comfortable and have fun. Bar area lovely too, but you could hear a pin drop and 5 euros for half of lager is a bit much?.. The overall feel was a bit claustrophobic for us and yes, take plenty of mosquito repellent! The walk into town only took 5 - 10 mins but it was unnerving and not suitable for children or pushchairs. Next time we would choose a hotel instead.

I paid 900 euros for 5 nights for my husband and myself. The complex pool is extremely cold (no heating) and is only open from 10am to 7pm, but its so cold that even on a hot day the pool is uncomfortable. I couldn't stay in and I noticed other guest felt the same. The kitchen has no sponges, soaps or anything to wash with, no microwave, toaster etc. It's very very basic. We basically just used the fridge which is just a bigger mini fridge. The road to the town centre is a steep hill but it's not difficult if you are fit, but after a day of exploring is a little extra tiring and taxis are not cheap in Sorrento. The aircon works really well, but is nosy. Overall, I would stay at Villaggio Verde again IF the prices were about 5 times cheaper.

Our first visit to the Villaggio Verde and it won't be our last.

The Villaggio is unlike anywhere else we've ever stayed and is unique in that it's set amongst the grape vines, local fruit trees and yet is only a 10 minute walk down the hill to Sorrento's main square!

Whilst this the Villaggio is only rated as 3 star hotel due to its more local authentic rooms and decor it offers a 5 star customer experience.

From the moment you arrive the family treat you with such a warm and genuine service it's hard not to fall in love with the Villaggio. Whilst the entire team deliver the overall service and experience it needs to be said that Antonieta on reception and the two wonderful sisters Daniela and Rosaria who run the breakfast and pool side bar and restaurant are exceptional.

The Villaggio can only be described as a small boutique hotel offering a very personal and intimate stay. One thing you have to try are the freshly made pool side lunchtime meals served from 12pm until 2pm...they are truly fantastico!

Thanks again to everyone at the Villaggio Verde for making our first trip to Sorrento such a magical and memorable visit.

See you soon and Grazie Melia!

Friendly staff, lovely pool area nice food. Downsides- having to pay extra for sun beds, bungalows dirty, cramped and very basic. It was fine as a base to stay when exploring Sorrento but wouldn’t stay here again.

Had a week stay in the hotel part of this accommodation. Rooms were lovely with plenty of space and very clean. As previous reviews have mentioned there is a walk into the main part of Sorrento down a hill with a busy road but myself and my partner did not find this to be too much of a problem. Pool area is nice and clean and food from the pool bar was nice and very reasonably priced. There was a good selection of food at breakfast. The lovely lady on reception was extremely helpful but everyone working here is really friendly! We did both get bitten a little so would maybe recommend insect spray etc.
