Walking down the winding path , through the old fortified gatehouse out on to the marina , local shops , households and restaurants, local fishermen still mending their nets after use , kids running and playing , tourists and locals alike , this was a wonderful spot to stop and relax , ideal spot for evening meal , it's rustic in its glamour , and that's the beauty of this place , however the walk back up to Sorrento , up the path can be very tiring on the legs ,
But worth it

This marina has the feel of an authentic fishing village. There are restaurants where you can buy freshly caught fish dishes at a fraction of the price of those being sold in the main town. There are many opportunities for boat rides of all types and there is a small beach.

55 euros each. Good value day out. Had done this trip by bus previously. More relaxing by boat

This is a must-see for any visit to Sorrento. Marina Grande is a 15 minute walk from the Piazza Tasso down narrow cobblestone streets and alleys with minimal traffic. This is an active fishing village with several mostly open air restaurants serving freshly caught seafood. It is a great place for dinner while viewing the sunset and watching pedestrians and fishermen. There are lots of photo opportunities!

This is a great little fisherman's village with lovely restaurants overlooking the water and very characteristic for this area.
