We stayed at the hotel for three nights in room 404, which was one of the garden apartments facing the gorgeous view of the water and the town below. Pictures don't do it justice, words don't do it justice. There's just nothing like waking up, sliding open the glass door to your room and being greeted by the gorgeous vista that is Sorrento. The hotel itself is bright and cheery and modern, the outdoor café for our complimentary, delicious breakfast was everything you hope for in an exotic hotel on the gorgeous Amalfi coast and the pool overlooking the ocean was small and inviting and a perfect place for a dip or to read a book. Located in a perfect spot to tour the rest of the Amalfi Coast. We took day trips to Capri and to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. I'd love nothing more than to go back to the Amalfi Coast when it's less crowded and stay here again. Hope to do so one day.

Room Tip: Definitely choose a room on the fourth floor (really a deck) that overlooks the coastline.

Myself and my partner stayed here in July 2018. The rooms are very nice and the decor is spot on
The air conditioning is also lovely so all in all the actual room was lovely.

How ever the noise of the traffic was terrible. Could not go to sleep. Scooters up and down the road right outside our window made it difficult to sleep.

The pool area is poor also. The water is too warm to cool off. The ants around the pool were not ideal. Both myself and my girlfriend got bitten alive so would advise going at all. Beach is a better option. Also had to pay for a pool towel.
Breakfast was really nice so would recommend that and the location is good in regards to sorrento. A nice walk in around 10 minutes to the centre.

My girlfriend and I just spent 3 nights at Hotel Miramare in Sorrento. We had an amazing time. We booked a cooking class and Capri boat tour through the hotel and they were both incredible. They helped us with everything and we felt right at home. Breakfast was delicious, the pool and bar is also great. We recommend to everyone. Also the walk home is great, get to eat more and burn off those calories!! ;)

We stayed at the hotel from 9 to 12 July. The hotel is nice and clean, and the staff is friendly. Amazing front terrace for breakfast and drinks at night and the pool is nice. Note that the hotel is a bit outside the city centre and taxis are expensive. Further, we would not recommend to book tours through the hotel. We booked a trip to Pompeii which we learned was cancelled after waiting 30 minutes to be picked up. The hotel took no responsibility and we didnt felt that anything was done to resolve the situation and no compensation was offered. We ended up going by ourselves, but lost a lot of time due to the way it was handled by the hotel.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed in Hotel Miramare in July and what a wonderful experience we had. Firstly our flight was delayed which delayed our private transfer. We were very worried we would miss our transfer as Naples is a 1 hour drive away from hotel but we emailed the hotel as soon as we knew about our delay and they told us not to worry that our driver would be waiting when we arrived. Our transfer driver was arranged with the hotel for €105, she was a lovely woman who was very happy to chat to us about all the special places in Sorrento and all the must see and do things to experience. Joseph on reception was so pleasant to us when we arrived late that night and all reception staff and hotel staff were so lovely to deal with every day. Our room was beautifuly furnished and spotless clean with no balcony but wonderful views out on the ocean and all of Sorrento. Also if you are fortunate enough to have an ocean view you may be able to watch the sunset from your room which is incredible. Breakfast was my favourite part of the day here at Hotel Miramare, every morning sitting on the terrace looking out at the spectacular views of the sea, mountains and boats was the perfect start to our day. There is a huge selection of fruit, yogurts cereal, bread, eggs etc. Location is very good for getting into Piazza Tasso (main square) but be prepared for a walk of about 1.5k however, the views on the route are breathtakingly beautiful in both day and night which was a bonus in my opinion. There are so many positive things to say about this beautiful hotel, the only negative I will say is the steps of the hotel are situated on a very busy road with no specific path for pedestrians. We found it very daunting to cross and a little scary at times. Pool is perfect on the terrace with more lovely views to take in, it was never busy during our stay with plenty of beds for everyone. You can order drinks in the bar which they bring to you on the pool terrace. Our room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels and bed linen. Myself and my boyfriend have both agreed it has been by far our favourite holiday. We are leaving Merimare with lots of lovely memories and are very satisfied with our experience as guests. Thank you for a relaxing and wonderful stay :) and we will certainly consider another trip here in the future.
