I chose to stay at the Montestella Hotel since it was only one of seven that offers twin rooms in Salerno!

The hotel is comfortable and the staff are extremely helpful and professional. In fact, they very kindly brought excellent expresso coffees to our room free of charge on a couple of mornings.

However, the experience could have been nicer if there had been a ventilator in the bathroom and also if we had know that rooms with balconies were available.

Excellent refurbished hotel in the main “corso” of Salerno. Great location, few blocks from the old town, few blocks from train station. Rooms are super new, excellent showers, great breakfast. Pity the city is not as interesting as it seemed to be. Just a cheaper gateway for Costa Amalfitana.

This hotel is located in the central area. It is car zone free which allows for easy walking. The Staff are amazing and very helpful with recommodations. Hotel was able to provide gluten free breakfast with a variety of fresh fruits, juices and much more. Rooms were very clean and neat.

Great location right on the pedestrianised shopping street but it can be hard to find if you're driving, you can't drive to the door. Breakfast was good with something for everyone. The room is quiet and clean and the bed was big and comfortable. There is no car parking so I had to park in a public carpark for €17 per day.
The hotel itself is nice but does have a few construction problems. The bathroom had a hole in the wall and had some exposed wires, they were high up so not a hazard but they don't look good. The shower door didn't close properly so the water leaked out onto the floor. People seem to be complaining about the towels, they're fine, they do the job as well as any towel and they dry quickly.
It would be a lovely hotel if they paid a little more attention to these little maintenance details.

Modern hotel, very clean, on main pedestrian street, half mile from RR station, two blocks from ocean and port for tourist ferries to Amalfi etc, nice hot breakfast, helpful staff, good wifi, good air conditioning, near many restaurants.
