It's best to make a reservation at Antica Locanda dal Povero Enzo-for dinner. You ring buzzer to enter-nicely appointed everything, good lighting, real linen, professional service.  Greeted w/ complementary glass of proseco, then an amuse bouche-puréed greens and foam of potato. Primo-one of us had tagliatelle w/ wild boar sauce-amazing!, the other had large, handmade ravioli (can't remember filling-sorry) but very good.  Secondo-we shared lamb chops.  Dolce-hazlenut flavored assortment of small delectables for dessert. They have an excellent bottled red wine-could call it "house" - that was perfect for our meal.

It 'was a really enjoyable evening. I was with a colleague at the table and started with an outstanding appetizer of raw meat. A good wine chosen by me and all for a reasonable price.

If you're in Cosenza and are looking for a fine dining experience, this is the place to go. My wife and I were visiting family and wanted a few hours for a quiet, romantic moment to ourselves before we left. This restaurant was highly recommended, and we were not disappointed!

The experience was top-class - the service was very personal - from the greeting, to the open discussion with the maitre d' about wine and food pairings - the recommendations were great.

The food was an experience far beyond my expectations - we had a sampler appetizer which consisted of a number of items that were locally sourced and creatively prepared and presented - escarole paste with focaccia, creamy cod (baccala), a spicy seafood "rosmarino" with onions, lightly fried mushrooms from La Sila and even quail egg with truffles - wonderful!!

The main courses of risotto and my filet were prepared to perfection and were delicious. The portions were plentiful, so we weren't able to try any of the desserts, but they all sounded great.

Grazie Francesco for a wonderful dining experience!

Great expectations, since I'm not a great meat eater, and when I decide to eat it I usually try to choose the best places. But it was an average dinner, anything special, nothing sublime. Too expensive for an average meal.

Am in disbelief over magnificent meal enjoyed in this beautiful space, with delightful servers, and care & pride infused food. We walked about 2.5 km from our hotel to this fun shopping area. At first, I was frustrated that Marco said to come back at 830/9 pm and wished we had had a proper lunch. Then we experienced the lively street action and forgot our pangs of hunger for a while. When we returned to the restaurant at 820, Marco greeted us in a smart suit and from that moment on, this dining experience was special and memorable. They were featuring fresh porcini mushrooms and we enjoyed them breaded and fried as an appetizer course. We received a complimentary Prosecco and amuse-Bouche to further delight us. My husband was very impressed with his grilled beef (and we are from Alberta Canada) and I (the foodie) could go on and on about the competence and creativity shown in the cuisine here. All this, including a glass of wine for 60 Euro-- unbelievably good!!!
