I traveled with a group of 7 and we had a wonderful 5 day stay at Casa Veronica in Manoppello. The house is newly furnished, decorated beautifully, and is in a quiet hill town which is easy to get around. We had most of our meals on the outdoor patio which has a stunning view of the surrounding countryside. There are 4 bedrooms which easily fit 10 people, and several pull out sleeping couches. It is a 4 story house which makes for lovely privacy with big groups. There are lots of stairs however, so keep that in mind based on any physical limitations. Don't be concerned about the utility and gas prices, we paid about 16 euros total for the 7 of us for 5 days. Mannopello is located near Majella national park, and we did several day trips to picturesque areas nearby. The owners were very friendly and greeted us at the house with fresh cherries, sandwiches, and a bottle of wine which were very much appreciated. Overall it was a wonderful stay in a quiet, non-touristy part of Abruzzo and I would book it again in a heartbeat.
A stunning house that is well equipped with everything you need. Situated in a lovely village for an authentic italian holiday.
We were met by the owners who could not have made us feel more welcome with wine, fruit, sandwiches, bread and their home made olive oil.
I would highly recommend this holiday let for small or large groups wishing to experience traditional italian hospitality away from the usual tourist areas.
