The market is about half a km from the Las Arenas beach. It has a large fish area, but I especially liked the way how carefully all the fruit was arranged.
I think this is very authentic vs mercat Central that is bigger and shinier. Also the neighborhood looks significantly rougher than the central of the city.

Such a great place with almost only local people. Fresh fish, vegetables, meat, bread, fruit and much more.
Try the Valencian tomatoes, all different kind of jamon and in the summer time the Valencia mussels.

We were staying with friends who live about a 5-minute walk from here. It's like the Central Market with every foodstuff imaginable, but of course smaller, and more local. Take the metro to Marítim-Serrería.

Not as much fun as the Mercado in town. Mo samples, people not keen to engage. Did buy some lovely cream. Choux buns but really not a tourist attraction.

The market has everything for your weekly shopping and nestled all around are little pastry stalls that sell an amazing assortment, you also have a great little café inside that sell an array of different cuisine which is prepared as you sip your coffee and definitely try the assortment of different croquettes
