Basic but very pleasant hotel. Predominately Spanish clients but we all smiled at each other. Exceptional service from the staff, especially Hose the bar man. On the Poniente side five mins walk to the old town.

I spent a week at his hotel in early June and I can't praise it enough. Here are the reasons why I loved it (1)The hotel is very clean (2)The staff are very friendly (3)The food is very good and is wide ranging (4) The location is ideal, facing the beach/near the old town and great for connecting transport (5)What may seem a negative that many retired Spanish nationals use it is actually an advantage as they are all well behaved and respectable. No young British yobbos making noise here! You may need to bring an extra towel as the ones supplied may not be enough and bring some social media devices such as a laptop or mobile 'phone as the rooms only have Spanish tv. The internet connection is excellent. I really loved this hotel and will definitely book again. Marks out of ten? A FULL bold TEN :) Please IGNORE the stupid negative comments here as they bear no resemblance whatsoever to the truth Some people just get a kick out of being spiteful or malicious

Room Tip: Bring an extra towel for the bathroom

As in the title says this is the 3rd time we have stayed at the hotel Marconi , but this time we had a much nicer room 503 the room consists of a double beds, a table , a big double wardrobe which consists a safe , a small tv (no English speaking channels ) on the wall . A lovely bathroom with a shower (no bath) a b-day and sink with very small toiletries provided . Also a huge balcony overlooking the poniente beach with what I guess is artificial grassy stuff on the floor and small round table.

The staff are very friendly even though they either don't speak either little or no English but u can still feel there friendliness , unfortunately the food hasn't improved though they cater mainly for the hoards of Spanish pensioners but toast and jam and coffee was ok for me then I'd go out somewhere and have a English breakfast there's plenty of places that do them .
The rooftop pool area is nice although the pool isn't that big is fine and there's also sunloungers to sunbathe in fact imho it's a great suntrap to get a tan .

The ground floor has a nice bar and seating area it has a tv on the wall and when the show Spanish la liga matches it gets packed with mainly spainish oldies and locals and can get noisy .

We are now thinking of booking up again for October

Room Tip: The higher the floor the quieter it is

This little gem of a hotel should have a higher rating. Its very laid back with the majority of customers being of the older persuasion which means you can get a decent sleep at night. The location is great being a 5 minute walk from the Old Town. Right on the sea front and if you get a sea view room its fab. I enjoyed relaxing on my balcony in the sun watching the waves crash and people go by. Relaxing hearing the waves crashing in bed. The buffet breakfast was good with an adequate selection of items. Wifi was great, fast and reliable. I'm likely to stay here again next time I visit.

Room Tip: Sea View room

This hotel is a lovely place to stay, staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and well maintained, we booked an interior room with balcony, which was nice and dark so could have a lie in. The restaurant can get busy, the food served at breakfast, lunch and dinner was very good and tasty. The sun terrace on the roof is lovely for sunbathing but the beach is across the road, 30 feet away. WiFi available throughout the hotel and is very good.
