Although this restaurant is full of other tourists that didn't´t stay in the restaurant "Café del Prado Museum", its still a good option close to the museum.

It´s a charming place which has outside tables and 2 levels inside. It was full when I went there with my husband but we had to wait just some 5 minutes to get a table. What we didn't´t understand is that we discovered later the other level in the basement that had maybe not more than 1/3 occupied and the waitress didn't´t mention that space.

The menu is varied but they don´t have that much "tapas" style food as the name suggested. The food was not special, but good enough for a very touristic place.

Got off Madrid hop on hop off bus and found this place. Great food but busy. Practice spotting about to be empty tables to get one. You will enjoy.

Excellent location very close to the Paseo del Prado (just across from El museo del Prado), perfect to take stop for lunch between museums and sightseeing, also close to the Botanical Garden.
The food is great, besides it’s a good spot to stop just for coffee if you need a break. It gets very busy during rush hours but that was what attracted us to this cosy simple place. You can find a variety of foods from great tapas to typical Mediterranean – Spanish cuisine. There are not many dishes for vegetarians to choose from but apart from that everything is great.
The staff is friendly and the service is quick.
It is not very expensive considering the location, it has regular prices.

We arrived on a wet Friday night and had to wait for a table as was full upstairs, so assumed it would be good. As outside was closed due to the weather we were surprised that downstairs was also not open.

Service was brisk and they seemed short staffed. Starters came quickly but were nothing special and bread was stale.

We all had the boar stew, which was tasty but was almost cold.

Has potential to do much better as there is a lot of competition in this price bracket.

We found this restaurant by chance whilst dodging the Easter Parade crowds! Despite being very busy, we were soon found a table by the welcoming staff member. The choice of food and drink was excellent and the prices very reasonable. We enjoyed starters of Salpicon Langostine and Papas Asadas, both of which were perfectly cooked, followed by Salmon and a local Lamb dish, again perfectly cooked and presented. A nice place to eat.
