What more can I say? Third time in Sitges... Third time at Avenida Sofia. We keep on coming back for the great rooms, spa, rooftop bar, food, and staff. We decided against buying an apartment in Sitges because it's better to stay at Avenida Sophia and make it our home away from home.

I tend to stay in lots of hotels in Sitges and have been to the Avenida before. I chose it this time because it was very competitively priced for the weekend i stayed. I would consider it to be the higher end of Hotel Options in Sitges.

We were not disappointed. On arrival, we were treated with speed, and attentively by Leo, who provided a very personal service. We had some complimentary juice (and jellies) .It was early, and our room was not available yet, but the hotel was very accommodating. We used the gym showers and they held on to our bags. (On our return, we found our bags moved to our room, and our jackets hanging up).

The rooms are modern. The hotel has a strong emphasis on it's carbon footprint/environmental impact, which is good to know, but based on style alone, I really like it. The beds are comfortable and aircon is effective and quiet. We heard no exterior noise on our five nights. We had some 'technical issues' with the shower on our last night, but given the staff were so polite and accommodating, that it just made it an improved experience.

We didn't have breakfast nor use the rooftop bar.

I used the gym every day, and it does the job. Its never busy, and has modern equipment - enough to keep you going.

The spa is great. Nice and relaxing. It helps kills an hour before you get ready for a night out!!

Location is as good as it gets. In the centre, by the beach and away from the noise.

If i had to offer some criticism, it would be that the lifts are a little slow. (not a complaint, just a annoyance!!) For such a modern hotel, the time between when they stop at a floor, and the doors open, seems like an eternity. Also, the wifi in the end rooms could also be boosted a little. My phone was grand, but my ipad almost needed to be at the Door to find the signal. Neither of these points would impact my decision to return to the hotel.

At the right price, I'd definitely return, and would wholly recommend it to others.

Room Tip: In high season, it's best not to take a room directly under the rooftop.For wifi, don't go with a corner room.

On the other hand, we are sad to read your disappointment regarding the WiFi internet Access and regarding the slowness of lifts. There were troubles with doors configuration, for this reason the doors opened too slow. Fortunately, we have solved the problem.

I recently attended a Company event organized in this hotel. The high quality of the service was fundamental for the success of our Event. The team was nice, professional and flexible. They satisfied all our requests for a 80 people conference. Not an easy mission. The restaurant offered a delicious menu with some creative options. Well done! Muchisimas gracias!

Lovely rooms indicate a serious intention from owners management to stand out from the rest. It's a shame they did not stay for breakfast.

Breakfast self service takes on a new dimension at the Sofia. It starts with clearing your own space, and then sourcing some cutlery. You can then approach the buffet and sort through the remnants of earlier diners for scraps that meet your appetite

The room was a double superior, looked as in the pictures and it felt quite big and airy. It is really cool and stylish. The bathroom had two sliding doors to separate the shower and the toilet, which I found quite smart :)
Reception treatment wouldn't fit into the definition of and personal touch, a bit cold but professional.
The spa is a must and the staff there was absolutely lovely.
