Great location, easy to walk to many places. On a busy street but not noisy.
Hotel staff were attentive and helpful. We had a nice light lunch sitting outside the hotel.
We had a suite with plenty of room and the bathroom had two sinks and bathroom counters to not get in each other’s way. The only negative is that the lighting for ladies to apply makeup is not good according to my wife. A lighted makeup mirror would resolve the issue

We stayed in a junior suite for 6 nights to get the extra space but the layout was all for show and not really functional. The large king bed was excellent, but it was the only place to watch television from, no armchair at all. There was a full height partition that created a small sitting area with a designer circular sofa that was so uncomfortable for an adult to use, interior designer madness. The sitting area also included the usual bar fridge, mini bar with for sale items and a writing desk. There were no USB plugs and a few random places to plug in devices, but not enough for 2 people.
The bathroom was fantastic, absolute luxury - super large fluffy bath towels and really nice products, tons of hot water and good pressure. A nice bathtub as well. The room had lots of hanging space which is something many hotels neglect.
Our rate included breakfast and it was a good quality buffet with eggs to order. The breakfast waiter was charming and knew our preferences within a day or 2. English was no problem.
We were on the first floor overlooking a cute side street full of restaurants but it was horribly noisy on week days as there is a high school next door. The kids used the street as their playground before and after school to scream their heads off and smoke.Double glazing was not enough! School starts at 8 so if you are planning on a weekday sleep in do not stay in room 104.
I should mention that the hotel location is great, we felt safe and walked almost everywhere. Many tours leave from Plaça De Catalunya which is an easy 12 minute walk away. On the few occasions we used a cab they were clean and relatively cheap.
Overall Murmuri is a good option but I would insist on a high floor if you want peace and quiet.

Room Tip: Highest floor possible!

This hotel was recommended by friends. It turned out to be a great location for us: two Gaudi buildings within a couple of blocks, a subway stop around the corner, an outdoor restaurant on the pretty treed plaza out front of the hotel, lots of bars and restaurants within a few blocks, great shopping, hoponoff bus stop a block away, not crazy with tourists. It's a distance from the old town, but takes 5 minutes on the subway to get there and I'd far rather stay at the Murmuri. Staff were welcoming and helpful, dry cleaning/laundry was returned in one day, breakfast was good. Room was typically small by north american standards but liveable, nice contemporary decor, comfy bed, bed and bath linens very nice, view onto the plaza worth the cost. Only irritation was the fact that we were charged for the coffee I made with the pods in the room! What 4-star hotel does that?

Room Tip: Ask for Rambla de Catalunya view

This was a great find. We had a two bedroom apartment that was close to restaurants, pastry shops, including a great gluten free bakery just aroundvthe corner. Bwe were close to the hop on/off stop, 2 of Gaudi's works and with walks to so many places to visit.

Room Tip: So close to everything you need and want when on holidays
