Owner description: Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself. We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct: - Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes. - City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes. - City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes. - Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes. - Taxi to Park Guell

This amazing park is a way out of central Barcelona but worth getting there by bus or taxi. Please book ahead as it is VERY busy - too busy for us to go inside any of the buildings, but still worth our second visit.

What a beautiful facility. I wish I had more time to spend at this place. How they built things like this is unbelievable.

Granted, the park was under construction when I was there, but I was expecting a lot more. The actual park itself was nice, but to get to see Gaudi's creations (the place where everybody posts pictures from) you have to pay about 9 Euros to enter this small portion of the park. ALSO buy your tickets in advance!! We ended up waiting 3 hours in the rest of the park because it was too far away from anything else to leave and come back, but they didn't have any tickets available for the time that we arrived. Overall a little bit of a disappointing experience.

Another example of Gaudi's art, but this time in a garden setting. Lots of intersting architecture, columns, stairs and archways all set in a magnificent park. A bit of a trek to get there, but well worth it. If you get a day pass for the metro, this includes bus travel which makes it a lot easier to get here, although taxis are another option and not too expensive.

The park is beautiful, with a wonderful view. Unfortunately, big renovation works are currently underway, limiting the space and forcing the crowd to stand too close for a view. Huge lines, pre-booking skip the line highly recommended - we saw many people sent away as tickets were sold out.
