Stayed mostly in Novotel’s on a road trip to Portugal

Location though is curscumstancial is not close to the Center but taxi rides are ample. It’s close to a science museum but other than that there’s not much to do in this location

Value for money is very good For a Family of four

Room is Smaller but could squeeze family of four
Beddings / linens / pillows compared to other Novotels is strangely different to most Novotels we’ve stayed in Europe So one / person is just inadequate. But beggars can’t be choosers

Breakfast is so so and nothing to rave about. There’s a local McDonald’s 3 mins walk adjacent to the hotel

There is a swimming pool But is was so cold at the time of our stay so my kids kept out of it.

The parking is not free but there are ample street parking.

Reception is a mixed bag. I’m not not sure if it’s because of lack of organisation or diff management
But This is the only Novotel ( despite booking direct with the Accor online) that has a different check in process which affected my view of this hotel altogether. The last thing I need is to be asked after long hours of driving is be asked to show an email confirmation of the booking ( not just a reference no) passport, driving licence not good enough ect Ect

Overall mediocre and would stay elsewhere and closer to the centre.

I initially was apprehensive in returning to Spain to visit family due to our last hotel experience in other hotel. However, I was pleasantly surprised to arrive at this modern hotel. It was very different from the hotels that I had stayed in prior to this one. The staff was very pleasant and courteous to my family and I. There were many food options in the hotel and nearby. The cleanliness of the hotel was superb. The continental breakfast had a variety of options. The wait staff in the bar area/restaurant were engaging and gave excellent recommendations regarding sites to see in the area. We visit Spain once a year and will definitely book this hotel again.

A great stay in Valladolid. Hotel clean and modern. Friendly welcoming staff. Life guard at the pool particularly helpful when various members of my family lost items in the pool. She went out of her way to find them. Lovely breakfastOnly 30 min walk for the centre of the city.

Large spaces, very friendly staff, bar and terrace with swimming-pool. Even it is located at the other side of Pisuerga and 30 min walking distance from city center, it was a good choice as we were travelling.

We have used this hotel on long trips across Europe before and specifically returned as knew location and service suited us. We frequent 4* hotels all the time and this suits us very well.

Lovely welcome on arrival and swift check in as always, a mix up on whether we had prepaid or not as Accor card holders going through Expedia they did not prepay as we expected. We love the outdoor terrace pool and restaurant and indoor play area.

Whilst not ideally located for this trip we travelled an extra 100miles than we would have preferred. Dinner though late was ok but I have to drop stars for a child’s burger that was too undercooked and had to be returned and a pizza that was spicy as requested but small for the price. Minor niggles as was the sofa bed which unlike Biarritz was a double (not two single mattresses) and thus less comfortable. Also a/c whilst quiet was not too effective. Also tv was loose, not on the wall, best for children.

Room and ensuite superb but tea and coffee had powdered whitener not uht sachets. For those who want to save a few pennies or want child convenience the adjacent McDonald’s is handy and free on road parking nearby too.

Breakfast is a hearty combined continental and cooked affair with many options and very good hot drinks machines too. We always rely on a hearty hotel breakfast for our next 350 mile leg. Probably almost certainly use again as niggles not enough to put us off.
