Excellent accommodation in a really central location. The property has been renovated to a very high standard. The roof terrace is fantastic and we spent most evenings there. All equipment in house good quality and the house was spotlessly clean. Lots of restaurants nearby and a very good market 10 mins walk away. Mario and Inesa are a very helpful couple and had thought to providing everything even a large shopping trolley to take to the market and 2 umbrellas which were needed as we had come unprepared for rain.
What can I say what you see is what you get, this home is the most amazing home somewhere you would want to own yourself!
Me and my family stayed her for 10 days in August, this was the best stay I have ever had when booking a villa. The hosts Inesa and Mario are there whenever you need them, they was there to welcome us in and even organised a taxi for us for our way home. Before reaching tenirefe they give us all the information we would need for everything local including we're the closest hire car place was located.
The home is located in the centre of Santa Cruz being able to access almost everything, including local shops including spa, restaurants, cafes and even a pool located down the roads around 5 minutes away the opposite way is a beach. We're the house is located there is many banks, buses, trains and even a shopping centre with many shops inside.
The house it's self is the most amazing house, everything is brand new up to date and modern. The roof top terrace is the perfect place to relax if it's relaxing in the sun or even at night time it also has a BBQ. It has many parasols in case you do not want to sit in the sun. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could want and Inesa and Mario had refreshments and breakfast pieces already inside.
Overall this was the most amazing stay me and my family have ever had and we can't wait to book again, thankyou Inesa and Mario.
We stayed here for 12 nights over Easter, beautiful house and sparkly clean, loved the roof terrace. Incredibly central, next to buses and trams and restaurants. We ate in the local restaurants and shopped at the local market, if you go downstairs in market the café sells the best cortado (local coffee), we found the neighbourhood very friendly and an ideal location to stay in Santa Cruz, we recommend the local restaurants immediately as you turn right from front door about 1 minute away also turn left and head into the city centre 2 minutes away for more excellent food choices. The bus station is around an 8 minute walk and the tram is beside the church around 2 minutes, the city bus tours are a 5 minute walk away and well worth a trip. We had limited Spanish but due to the friendly locals had the confidence to try more, we loved staying here and would recommend it as a location, we travelled easily on the local buses (wah, wahs) and bought a family ticket which allowed us to travel all over. Inese keeps the house incredibly clean and we found them to be very pleasant with all mod cons within.
My wife and I stayed here for just over three weeks and it was gorgeous! Marble floorings, murano crystal chandelier, comfy bed, luxurious bedding, excellent kitchen (except needed more cooking utensils-eg no small oven trays or whisk for pancakes and scrambled eggs, or oven gloves!). It also has the luxury of a veranda upstairs, perfect for relaxing in the sun. It was pristine - not a spot of dust or dirt anywhere and it felt as if we were using everything from new - wonderful. Thanks to Ximena, the cleaner who came in once a week to give the place a cleanup. We had restaurants round the corner and the important places to visit culturally were on your doorstep. The main bus station was a simple ten minute walk away and Tenerife was open to us to explore, which we made full use of. There is a fabulous market not even five minutes away and supermarkets everywhere although our favourite was at the El Corte Ingles department store as it had absolutely everything that we were used to, and their bread, at their in-store bakery, was like we had never tasted before - just delicious. I miss it here!
The only downside, and it was a big downside for us, was the noise! The apartment is in the old town and with the living room balcony doors open you heard street life as if everyone was in your own apartment. And this is a pedestrianised area but the road runs along the back of the block so you hear the cars and lorries very clearly. Downstairs there is a 3D printing store and their manager was outside speaking to all his clients from his mobile - incessantly! Presumably it was too loud to speak to them indoors. Then there was the nightclub next door that was open on one Wednesday night, and every Friday and Saturday night and stayed open till 4am. You hear this all night through your bedroom wall as a constant 4 beat drum. That is ok if you are deaf but not if you are a light sleeper like I am. We didn't report the noise to Inesa and Mario as they had warned us that there would be some noise but we understood it to be over the weekends and during the day, due to the carneval. They made no mention of a nightclub - we had to discover this ourselves. Besides we did not think that they would have been able to do anything about it especially, as they were going away on holiday themselves. When we checked out of the apartment at the end of our stay we were told that we should have reported it as they would have contacted the police. It seems that this has been a problem before. So be prepared to complain if this happens when you come to stay. There is other noise - from the music school, a couple of houses down the road, but they finished by 10.30pm and it was good salsa, samba music, pleasing to hear. There is also a convent down the road where every breakfast and lunch time they feed the homeless and needy locals, one particular down and out was there throughout our stay shouting all sorts of things, but you got used to this, or there was the lady who left her dog tied up outside whilst she ate. 40 - 60 minutes of dog barking gets tiresome.
But when the place was quiet, the apartment was paradise - perfect bliss. All I wanted to do was to take the whole apartment and take it somewhere quieter.
Would we recommend this apartment - yes but with the proviso of knowing that there is going to be quite a bit of noise. Personally, I don't think we would have taken this place if we had known how bad it would be.
