This is our 4th time here and this remarkable place always pleases. We ordered the set menu. All the dishes were delicious, and as always, you can tell that the presentation is an integral part of the extensive R&D process. Some of the dishes which I highly recommend are the mackerel, the lobster, the lamb, the beef, the poached egg, the seaweed-wrapped Seabass, and of course the decadent desserts. They served a chocolate shavings dish with chocolate ice cream, and a guava ice cream. Both were ‘heavenly’. It is noteworthy to mention that the staff always ask you if you have enjoyed every single course, and they allow for set menu substitutions. Elena, the chef owner is always on hand to welcome guests and inquire about their experience. It’s the place to go if you come to the Basque for a true Michelin experience. This one is definitely the best. Highly recommended.

It’s my fourth visit to Arzak! Every time I have a great’er’ culinary experience. The food was heavenly! The service was super warm and perfect! Elena’s visit (twice) to our table topped the overall experience and made it one of the best we ever had.
The creativity, innovation, freshness of the food were truly complimented by the impeccable service. A holistic culinary experience!

Very highly recommended! Indeed!

Heard and read a LOT about Arzak before arriving - and I think we had overly inflated expectations. Arzak was very good, but we were expecting an over the top innovative experience (like our friends who ate there and had a seafood appetizer served on an iPad with a video of the sea playing underneath the food). The service was great (and not drawn out to 3 hours but not rushed either), the food was really good (tasting menu), but we weren’t completely blown away. I would recommend it, but just have reasonable expectations going in.

It was an event to remember....fabulous food, marvelous servers and a choreographed meal I will never forget. There were 20 of us and no one missed a beat, the wine was paired perfectly with every plate. Treat yourself to this experience, you won’t regret it!

Our group of three couples had an absolutely wonderful dinner and experience at Arzak. We were fortunate to visit several highly rated restaurants during our visit to Spain and while each was outstanding, Arzak stood above all others. We were seated for dinner for no more than a couple of minutes when the 4th generation chef/owner came by to welcome us. The meal that followed was every bit as authentic as our greeting. We opted for the ala carte menu rather than the tasting menu and crafted a memorable experience made even more so by the wonderful and attentive service.
