Appartments are large, very clean and comfortable, located in the very center of the city (probably, the best location in the city) the with an amazing view from panoramic windows; the staff is very friendly and helpful,

Room tip: best views, comfortable, best location

This apartment is very centrally located and within close walking distance of most of the major attractions in central Zaragoza. Clean and modern with great facilities and easy check-in around the corner at Hotel Sauce. The highlight though is the view of the Basilica del Pilar across the square from the lounge and bedroom.

Room tip: Apartment 2A has a great view

Overall a great stay, but a few issues stopped it being perfect. The apartments are managed by Hotel Sauce (meaning Willow in Spanish!). You can use the facilities at the hotel, & must go there to collect your keys. Their apartments either have full kitchen facilities or just a microwave- check before booking.

Pros:
- Location central with views of the Basilica
- Check in quick & easy. Reception staff spoke very good English & gave me a map
- Good air con and heating
- Good internet connection
- Washing machine & dishwasher in kitchen incl detergent & dishwasher tablets
- Very secure with double front door access to building

Cons:
- The Basilica rings bells & plays a choir singing on loud speakers 9am, 12 & 8pm
- There were building works next to the apartment- no mention when I booked. If I'd known, I would have brought ear plugs. I asked the manager for another room. She was understanding, but another room was only available for part of our visit & was much smaller than the apartment I'd paid for. Although the noise wasn't constant, there were days of terrible banging, so I had to buy ear plugs myself.
- Only Spanish TV stations
- Kitchen ok, but no wine glasses, just pint glasses & 2 mugs & only 1 espresso cup!
- Only 2 small chopping knives- 1 curved and blunt!
- The fridge door shelf was cracked & meant bottles fell out
- Chipped & cracked plates & bowls- unhygienic & should be thrown out.
- I wasn't told the apartments are cleaned daily & there was no 'do not disturb' sign. It wasn't till our last day that I saw a nearby room had a sign. Annoying, because I was working odd hours & would have used the sign!

Despite the a few negative issues I'd definitely recommend and return.

Room tip: Bring ear plugs in case the church bells or work men wake you

Dear Guests from London,

It is always a pleasure to welcome our British guests in our hotel and Sabinas El Pilar Rooms and Apartments.

Thank you for your time dedicated to describe your experience in our establishments ( Hotel Sauce and Sabinas El Pilar Rooms and Apartments).

We really appreciate all the detailed information about the pros and cons you found during your stay with us.

We are happy to know that despite the drawbacks you really recommend our serviced tourist rooms and apartments to other travelers.

The opinion of our guests is priceless because it helps us to keep on improving in offering the best service to our guests. So we really take note of all the information that you pointed out in your review. We are now alert about these issues you mentioned and we will try to find a solution as soon as possible.

We are going to revise and make sure all the kitchenware is in good condition and provide the kitchen with cups, more mugs, more knives, new plates etc... so that everything is set and ready for future guests, like the " do not disturb" sign that was left. We will repair the fridge self . Thank you so much for all the valuable advice and help.

We do offer daily cleaning service. This service is not common in tourist apartments. But Sabinas El Pilar rooms and apartments is a serviced tourist type of accommodation choice. We offer the advantages of an independent building next to Cathedral Square but with all the services of a hotel. We offer daily cleaning ( towels are also changed daily) from Hotel Sauce that is only 50 meters distance . At hotel Sauce we offer 24 hours CUSTOMER SERVICE.

However, all mornings you can reach Araceli. Araceli is the person responsable for the Sabinas El Pilar cleaning service. You can find her photo in all building floors so that you can recognize her. She will be always pleased to help you with anything you may need ( more bathroom amenities, more kitchenware etc.) .

There is also an interphone in all floors next to the elevator so that you are able to communicate with the hotel if you need assistance during your stay. Or you can also walk 50 meters distance to get to the hotel front desk.

In relation to the inconvenience of construction of another building next to Sabinas El Pilar, we inform other travelers that there are established working hours during week days. And now that the works are in a more advance phase there is less noise and less disturbance.

We send our sincere apologies for all the inconveniences caused.

Thank you so much for all your collaboration and hope you have the chance to come back and experience the new changes and improvements that we have made thanks to you help in offering us you opinion.

Our best regards from our beautiful and lovely Zaragoza :-)

The Sabinas El Pilar and Hotel Sauce Team

The location is great! Only a few steps from the famous plaza del Pilar and all the main attractions in Zaragoza. The staff is super friendly and nice. But...big but!...the city has allowed the construction of an apartment building next to it...there was hammering and drilling that started at 7 am...if you like to wakeup early, that would not be a problem. But if you like to wake up later than 7am...I would suggest staying someplace else...the noise is quite loud and disturbing. Would suggest learning when the building will be finished...as of May 3rd, 2017...it looks like they have a long way to go.
