The Hilton brand is our benchmark for 4* hotels and the Garden Inn Seville certainly lived up to expectations.
Fast, friendly and efficient check in; clean, comfortable and quiet rooms; well stocked bathroom with bath; varied breakfast buffet; swimming pool with terrace; everything required for a sightseeing visit to Seville.
The bar/restaurant food is not cheap and is ubiquitous as you would expect from this type of hotel.
There is a small park opposite the hotel with flats beyond. Behind the flats are many bars, shops, cafes etc. mostly frequented by locals. There is a garage next to the hotel with a small shop where you can buy drinks, sweets, snacks etc.
We arrived on a Sunday and took a taxi to the hotel. The meter was pre-set to €24.92 and that was the final cost. Touch down to hotel in less than half an hour. A return taxi hailed at the hotel was €12.
The hotel operates a shuttle to and from Seville and this is best booked the previous day as seats are limited. If the return times do not suit (there is a long gap in the afternoon) the No 3 bus is an easy option. It can be picked up at the stop outside the bullring (€1.40) and at many other stops along the river. Combine the onboard display with the map from the hotel and it is easy to find the stop for the hotel. You will first see the distinctive hotel complex from the rear and the bus stops a couple of stops later at the side of the hotel so you have plenty of time to get ready to disembark.
