I was in Seville for a 2 week flamenco workshop. The first week I was in shared accommodation, which was ok but very crowded and very noisy late into the evenings so I decided to just go to a hotel for the second week. Seville Macarena had a good special on at the time and ended up being perfect for my needs. Close to the school, and shops, a little further away from Alameda de Hercules, but still walkable distance, and bus stop out front. It didn't come with all the bits and pieces most hotels come with (e.g. soap, shampoo, lotions, coffee or kettle), but it did have a fridge, an excellent breakfast buffet, my room and bathroom were very clean and quiet, and the staff were always very helpful. I did ask if I could have a late check out on my last day which they couldn't accommodate at the time due to being fully booked, but I called back every day (by their recommendation) to see if anything had changed and the night before, they said that I could check out a couple of hours later (which gave me time to do my last class, race back, shower, and check out). Then I was able to put my luggage in storage, do some more shopping, and then wait for my transfer car to the airport).

We came here as part of a guided tour and the hotel is poor in every aspect. Rooms, bathroom accessories (they didn't even have soap or lotion in there) and buffet. For example they wouldnt even let me take an apple with me after dinner. Definitely needs a renovation.
I think its a four star because of its (again very modest) pool. Finally staff are unfriendly and unwilling to help and barely speak any english.
Only good thing is that there are supermarkets around in case you need to buy cheap water and groceries.

We stayed here two nights and the hotel had clean and attractive rooms. The rooftop pool was very nice as the weather was quite warm and the pool was a great way to cool off at the end of the day. The buffet breakfast was very good. The hotel was a short taxi ride from the historic center city sights.

Large, mainly tourist hotel with most clientele seemingly 55+. Good location within walking distance of the old town streets. Staff friendly and helpful. Wifi decent speed. We took an inside facing room which means we escaped the traffic noise. Car parking is 20 Euros per night. Pool on top floor is pleasant and cooling and with great views over the city.

The hotel is conveniently located about a half hour walk from the moment area. Views of the old city wall from our room were spectacular at night. The room itself was spacious. Tile work in the bathroom was so sloppy that we worried about cutting bare feet. The toiled was placed so close to the sink that it was challenging to use. Carpeting in the hallways was threadbare and faded. Buffet dinner in the hotel restaurant disappointed.
