If you want a really stylish, elegant hotel in the centre of Granada then this one is the one to choose. If you could pick this hotel up and plant it outside of town in its own grounds it would be fabulous. It is not at all easy to find by car in the one way systems. Really stressful getting there, but the welcome we received by the receptionist was first class. They will take your car away and park it for you which has to be well worth the 22 euros.
We did not take breakfast at 14 euros extra but had a coffee in the Plaza.
The restaurant manager also told us that we could not have a table in the restaurant that night as there were no spare tables, even though the restaurant was empty.
Marble everywhere. High ceilings and elegant stairways, courtyard and central galleries.
If you like city centres with style then this is for you. Far too busy in the surroundings but the Oniria is a bit of an oasis of calm.

Villa Oniria is very central to shopping and a 15 minute walk to the Alhambra. Our hotel room was spacious, but the strange inclusion of see through panels in the bathroom and separate shower offers no privacy and makes it awkward if you are travelling with a friend, rather than as a couple.
The restaurant offers a very popular degustation menu, which was varied and interesting. Beware if you are not used to eating late, because we started at 8.30 and were still being offered dessert and coffee at midnight.

Before getting here we stayed in 4 Paradores. This was really different. The hotel is well located rather in the center of Granada. They can park your car for you (at a cost of EUR 20/day) which is convenient. The room has the advantage that it has a separate shower and separate toilet and a bath in the bathroom. There was also a sofa and a chair. But squeezing all of this in the room must have been a puzzle. I think they better leave the sofa and chair out. We had to move the chair to put our cloths away. But again you had to move it to open the window/door to the street side. Put it to the side again, to get into bed. This hotel (according to TripAdvisor) has one of the best restaurants in Granada. We never had dinner here because, although they have a lovely garden, you can not eat outside. What a waste! I was really disappointed by the breakfast, especially the first 2 days of the 3 we stayed. I can not imagine why a hotel with such a restaurant does not serve fresh orange juice (all days). On all the days the croissants were not from a decent bakery, but to me they looked (and tasted) like the kind which comes in a tin. The waiter "doing" the breakfast the first 2 days, couldn't handle it. All tables were full with used cups and other stuff. When people arrived he (tried to) quickly clean that table, went into the kitchen and stayed away for minutes. There was hardly any fruit and bread. Very little volume of charcuterie and only 2 different types. The second day I asked for scrambled eggs (eggs were to order) and it generated panic. I don't if he had to prepare it or that somebody else did it. But it took longggg. The third day, all tables clean, lots of fruit including now ananas. Enough of everything including bread. (But then again no proper croissants and no fresh orange juice). The choice of (types of) bread was also very limited. Having a drink in the garden is really nice. So really mixed feelings.

Half hour walk to MUST SEE Alhambra site, and central for all old town sights, cafes etc
Excellent cheerful and helpful staff particularly the young receptionist
Efficient valet parking, and car washed before return
Breakfast a DIY job with one staff member popping round from time to time- somewhat disappointing
Nice outside garden area for drinks
Comfortable room with separate bathroom, shower and toilet
We would stay there again
