The best thing I will say about this hotel is the location is fantastic. For a stay in Granada I highly recommend staying in the Albaicin district which is the old Moorish quarter. If that is your choice too I am not sure you will find a better hotel. Nearly all you want to do is in walking distance and the pulse of the area is incredible.

That said, this one was in need of some sprucing up. The original restoration was done in the 1990s and it feels like it. Our room (20) was split between a lower sleeping area and a loft with a day bed. If traveling with children that may be perfect but for us it was wasted space. We were left feeling we were in a tiny room. There is breakfast and afternoon tea, but no restaurant (though there are many close by). Not much in the way of amenities; you will use this hotel to sleep and eat breakfast, not much else. But that's okay because you are there to see Granada and there is much to see.

A CAUTION ON PARKING: the hotel will inform you by email as to their parking situation. Read it. I didn't. You cannot park at or close to the hotel as driving in that area is restricted to cabs and residents. This is enforced with cameras and license plate readers, and retractable pylons. I used Waze to take me to the hotel address and it took me down the street behind the hotel. All roads in the Albaicin are narrow; that one narrowed to 1.8m or 71" (I didn't see the warning sign). A man got off his motorcycle to guide me through that narrowest pass thank goodness (the walls are gouged with marks from other vehicles less fortunate). The clearance was less than inches. Save yourself the stress...follow the email instructions on parking and do not enter the Albaicin by car.

Stayed here for our honeymoon- had the best welcome in our room. Delicious chocolates, marshmallows bouquets and swan-shaped towels. Thank you for your effort!

Location wise, it is excellent. Close to many tourists spots.

Wifi speed- unfortunately it is poor. Kept on dropping. Hopefully the management is looking into this.

Breakfast buffet- served in a small room. Please improve on this. Selection are okay, but I wouldn't said it is delicious. Just okay.

Agreed with the other reviewers saying that the hotel needs to fix their plumbing noise. We could hear it every single night from our room.

Other than that, this is a good hotel. Helpful staff at the reception.

Great location helpful staff just in need of some plumbing fixture updates. The noise from the other room bathrooms can be loud. But overall the stay was nice and close to all the tourist spots, the spa, city center, cathedral.

Booked based on location and TA reviews and we were not disappointed. Can't drive in Historico Centro so parked in Plaza Puerto Real and got a taxi in to hotel. Taxi was refunded (one way) and parking discounted by hotel which worked well. Hotel is lovely. Reception is in a covered courtyard done in the Riad style with paintings on the walls dating back hundreds of years. Our rooms were on ground floor they were comfortable had a Moorish feel to them and more than adequate for our stay. Bed comfy. I asked to see rooms with a view I think we saw 36 but also 32 supposed to be good. Views over rooves towards Alhambra amazing so ask if these are bookable. Breakfast was great and the staff were amazingly helpful. Location fab for exploring old city but get the bus / taxi up to the palace unless you are feeling like a bit of an uphill hike!

Room tip: Go for top floor views - 32 or 36 apparently the best - also bigger than ground floor
