We stayed here only one night - but what a delight it was. Arriving in the Granada train station I was worried that the taxi driver may try to trick us. It turned out that there was nothing to worry about. We arrived at the Casa Morisca without any trouble. What awaited us was a cool shaded courtyard with three floors of open galleries crafted from sun ripened brick and time darkened wood. The hotel is actually an old traditional mansion that was lovingly restored. Two taxi drivers later told us that we had picked a beautiful hotel! The staff was very friendly and we were soon delivered to our floor by a tiny but efficient elevator. There was a short flight of stairs to climb and there we were in our very own eyrie in the blue Andalusian sky. To top it off we had a view of the Alhambra as it turned gold at sunset and then a pearly silver at night. Though the room was small the view from the windows was more than enough compensation. The bathroom was spotless and it had its own Alhambra view. The only downside is that there are no other cafes nearby that are open early for breakfast so that one is pretty much forced to have breakfast at the hotel.
