This is a clean hotel in a prime location! I would not recommend driving as there is no parking close by and the taxi drivers curse and threaten you if you stop to unload your baggage.
The rooms are clean and breakfast is good. You are walking distance to Alhambra.

Located on the main plaza in Granada, this hotel has modern touches on the inside, as well as well air-conditioned rooms (a must in the summer of over 100 degree weather). The man who worked the front desk was phenomenal. He spoke fantastic English, was very accommodating of any question, request, or need we had, and was funny too! We loved that we could walk to all the main sights easily (the Alhambra, Sacromonte, the Albayzin, and the main shopping areas all ranging from 5-20 minutes). We also were given a great recommendation of not eating on the plaza, as the food is overpriced for tourists, but a few places just a block away that had great quality food at a great price.

This hotel is in a perfect location. It sits right on a pedestrian plaza with several restaurants and gift shops. Taxis and the tourist shuttles leave from here too; the Alhambra shuttle is just one block further away. You can easily walk to all the downtown sights - cathedral, the royal tombs, etc. - they're just a few blocks away. The hotel itself is nice. Our room overlooked the plaza (very nice), and so slightly noisy - but nothing more than what you would expect. The room was very clean and the bed was comfy. We also used their laundry service and it worked out great (not too expensive either). Staff at the desk were friendly and helpful. The hotel offers breakfast (not included in the price), but we didn't try it.

Room tip: Best views face the plaza; but non-plaza rooms are probably quieter.

Hotel Macia Plaza is right on Nueva Plaza. Great location, central to the old part of the city. Taxi stand right on the street. Pickup point for several hop-on-off buses. Friendly staff.

We had a room (102) with a balcony facing Nueva Plaza. The windows were not double-paned so it was noisy at night but that was just a small nuisance. This was the first time (but not the last), we encountered a strange shower door- it was only half a shower door! Took some getting used to and we did water the bathroom floor a couple of times. Interesting.

The mini-bus to the Alhambra was 1 block away. Lots of great eating places. Our favorite was Los Diamontes right across the street.

Room tip: Rooms don't have double-paned windows so if you are easily bothered by street noise, ask for a quiet room.
