I have tried twice ( in 20 years) to get into this palace without success so we decided to use the guided tour option. It cost approximately £100 for the two of us but it was truly the best way of doing it.
My husband had visited the palace 4 times previously without a guide but admitted this was much better. Carlos our guide was relaxed and informative throughout. The audio commentary was marvellous, although the ear piece did hurt so take your own if you have them!
This place is well worth every penny, the architecture, the history and the gardens are truly awe inspiring.
We walked for over 3 hours and yet it simply flew by.
Get your camera charged- the views, the buildings, the decorative tiles, plaster work and the gardens are truly amazing. You really do need to book in advance.

So much more to see than we expected and so much larger. The place is simply stunning and the gardens in The General Life are amazing. The walk up the hill is definitely worth it. Tip, to avoid the crowds go in at 8am, and make sure you have booked your tickets as very few seem to be available on the day. We had a guided tour, guide was excellent

I think getting good weather would really contribute to the experience of this visit. Beautiful and historical place. We picked a cold day.

Just a stunning place to visit, we spent over 6 hours there, including a break for lunch. Very good audio guide. Book tickets online to avoid queuing.
Put on your bucket list - along with the Mezquita in Cordoba.
