First time staying in the Puente Real and we will definitely stay here again. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment for one week on an All Inclusive basis in April and loved it.

The good sized complex is well maintained and kept very clean and is situated just across the road from the fantastic sandy beach and promenade. The attractively built apartments are in separate blocks to the main building and are 3 stories high with a lift.

Our apartment was bright and spotless and overlooked the outdoor seating area of the pool bar. The apartment was more compact than we expected yet was perfectly adequate for us as a couple. There is an air conditioning unit in both the bedroom and the living area. The remote controls are attached to the wall below the units and easy to use. We were delighted to be able to heat the rooms in the evening as being April the temps dropped to about 16c. Unusually there was no clothes dryer nor toilet brush supplied. The bathroom did have a hair dryer and some toiletries supplied and the shower was excellent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meals every day in the restaurant. The food was delicious with ample options at each meal time. The restaurant was very well run with an army of staff efficiently keeping food replenished and tables cleared, it’s quite an impressive operation.

All in all we had a lovely week in the Puente Real and will definitely be returning.

Very nice food, nice staff & all around nice hotel & a big 5* to Ronny from the Reps at the hotel, made the stay even more enjoyable with his enthusiasm & laughable character that he is. Reps have great games for all ages within the hotel facilities.

Stayed in an apartment,Half board bedroom adequate two single beds. Living/dining room, these apartments are for four people. two single beds in living room (not sofa beds) these are too wide for a normal person to sit comfortably. Also in room is a table and four chairs, (solid steel, no cushions). Because of the length of the single beds the table cannot be pulled away from the wall to accommodate four people. Kitchen is basic but o.k. Cleaning, after three days had to ask for towels changing. After five days had to ask (twice) for bed linen to be changed. Food, breakfast was the norm. Full English or continental. Dinner, very repetitive. Pork, loins, medallions, grilled slices and stews. "Hotel is minimal travelling time from airport". True, if you make any friends you can wave them off from the pool as the airport is roughly 6 minutes by taxi. Considering that the planes take off one every two minutes, not relaxing!. "Shops and restaurants five minutes walk away. For a supermarket, 10 minutes walk. For any decent night life bars and restaurants probably fifteen to twenty minutes walk. One saving grace was the pool bar with Julian, a smile, joke or comment any time of day. A true barman. Pools, the main pool always seemed a little crowded, we found a smaller pool behind with a courtyard which was quiet and good for relaxing as much as could be.

Room Tip: Apartments are cramped. definitely NOT four star. Cannot comment on hotel rooms

Stayed in an apartment half-board, Firstly apartment for four people, two single beds in bedroom adequate. living room had two single beds, not sofa beds. When trying to use these as a seating area was highly uncomfortable as they were single bed width which were too wide to use as sofas. Lounge also had a table and four chairs, (soliid steel, no cushions). Impossible to seat four people round table as length of single beds meant that two of the chairs could not be used. Food, breakfast was either full english or continental which was o.k. Dinner was very repetetive, almost every night was pork in one form or another. Pork medallion, pork slices, small pork chops. Hotel states short distance from airport, approx 7 mins in taxi, this meant that every day guests can wave goodbye to friends flying out (the planes are that close) and timed at one every two minutes not exactly restful. "Close to shops and bars". to find a good quality restaraunt or supermarket means a good 10 to 20 minutes walk. Room cleaning, after three days had to ask for fresh towels. After five days had to ask (twice) for fresh bedding. Pool bar was great thanks to Julian, always bright and cheerful. Main pool always seemed pretty full but smaller pool with courtyard was much quieter with plenty of room.

Just back from a break booked through Jet 2. Good location nice large ensuite room. Food was quite good both with quality and selection. DEFINATLEY not 4 star but well deserves 3 star. Could not fault it. The hotel is 40 years old and started life as CLUB PONTINENTAL (Remember Pontins Holidays) Then became the Torremolinos Beach Club where we stayed back in 1986. Dont let that put you off the interior has been re designed to a very high standard the pool area is good and the food is good quality. We had a superior room and was worth the upgrade. Its right on the beach in the quiet part of town but there is a bust stop outside-- Something to remember its near the airport 20 mins and there is a little noise from the airport if you are by the pool but it did not spoil the holiday

Room Tip: Book a superior room ours was large great view over the beach and sea
