Firstly, the hotel was superb. Really great staff and food with a 10/10 for the rooms. I would really recommend this hotel.
However, as I often find, issues around the swimming pool really irritates. The Hotel appears to have a very strict policy regarding people coming down early with their towels (which by the way are meant to be handed back after the previous day's usage) to claim there spot.
These rules are blatantly ignored by the ignorant and arogant with the idiots like me and many others standing in a queue waiting for my towels for that day.
If the hotel management have these rules, then they must be strong renough to enforce them - I dont for one minute blame the pool girls who have to take the anger/iritation of those following the rules.
IF YOU WONT ENFORCE THE RULES THEN DONT HAVE THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE.
I will admit this issue did slightly tarnish our otherwise wonderful holiday.

Dear David,

thank you for the review. We are glad you found the hotel superb and liked our food, rooms and the Amàre team. We are very sorry for the inconveniences you experienced at the pool. In the first place, we do not force our guests to hand back their towels every day, guests have the option to take the towel back to the room or to avoid taking back to the room used towels by exchanging it for a towel card and getting a fresh towel the next morning. I understand what you say is that you saw some guest use the towel from the previous day to reserve sunbeds which as you saw is not allowed. At Amàre we accompany guests to the sun beds in order to disinfect them and additionally control that no sunbeds remain empty (unless gone for lunch) more than 30 minutes to avoid empty sunbeds that may be used by other guests waiting.

Fortunately already today (26th of September) there was plenty of sunbeds for all guests and we expect not having this issue anymore.

Looking forwards to your next visit,

Best regards,
Marta Álvarez

I feared this would be super trendy loud OTT Vegas type set up . Happily if wasn’t . Good mix of cool factor with some day time DJ’S on the beach but not in your face party time . Other guests were 40 to 60 with no fake handbags in site . Hurrah ! Large big bedroom with effective a/c . Heated pool. Staff were slightly aloof but helpful in the main . Nice breakfast with lots of choice . Sun bed system is a bit crazy . First day we arrived we were told there were no sun beds! After a complaint two became available . Walking distance to old town . We wanted to enjoy the roof top bar but couldn’t due to smoking ban . It’s an outdoor bar !!!! Please don’t hope to control my vices. Underground parking was easy . Hospital next door for silly covid tests . Overall very good . Would go back . If you want day time drinking and pool party this isn’t for you . Best thing we did in Marbella was Nobu for dinner .

Dear Emma,

thank you very much for the review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Amàre Marbella. As you well mention Amàre is a place to disconnect and relax, with a lively atmosphere at our beach club with DJs during the day and from 19:00 pm at the rooftop. Very sorry for the inconveniences caused not being able to smoke at the rooftop, it is not a hotel rule but rather a national restriction due to covid.

Come back very soon!

We had a fantastic 5 night stay! Delicious breakfast to start with, lots of selection and eggs cooked to order.
Clean and well organised pool and beach area. We loved the rule that loungers couldn't be 'saved' as it meant that you didn't get people leaving their towels on a lounger all day for just a late afternoon sunbathe. We loved the rooftop bar at sunset, great cocktails and beautiful surroundings, highly recommended

I am going to preface this review by saying that I have never written a review in my life but after an amazing experience at the Amare, I think it deserves one!

A sensational hotel and location. A quick 5 minute walk and you’re in the centre of Marbella with an abundance of excellent tapas restaurants and bars.

Back to the hotel - firstly, the staff are lovely. Very welcoming and accommodating and the rooms are great too. We stayed in a ‘Secret’ room with a balcony. The facilities and cleanliness were top notch - the room has built in Bluetooth speakers for you connect your device to, so you can enjoy getting ready with your tunes on!

The breakfast is exquisite!! It is the best hotel spread I’ve ever seen - totally worth including it when you’re booking your stay.

The beach club is fab - it is essentially your own private beach and the food at the beach bar is lovely and not overpriced. €5 for a glass of local wine - you can’t complain about that! The cocktails are a little pricer but everything is poured free hand so they are pretty strong.

The only (slightly) negative things to mention are that you need to get down early in the morning to secure a bed at the beach. However, once you’re there is no cap on how long you can be there. The DJ at the beach club is luck of the draw - the first day we were there, the DJ was great but some days the set sounded like 3 hours of elevator music! These are minor issues though, and are not significant enough to drop the review rating any lower than a 5-star.

The spa is good too, guests get to access it once per stay. The gym is small but functional and has good air con.

We will definitely be returning! I can’t imagine another hotel beating this one for facilities and location. A real gem in Marbella, I’ll be recommending it to all!

Thanks to the staff for ensuring our stay was both relaxing and memorable.

Well it was a very clean hotel BUT they may as well put a tag on u when arrive so they no when u leave the hotel.
Our breakfast slot was 9am and the pool area opened at 9am so we had to queue up to get pool towel and be shown to sunbed , once u get your sunbed u are not aloud to leave it for more than 30 minutes or your towels are removed. There is no way u can leave the pool area get to the restaurant queue up for a table then queue up for eggs to be cooked eat your breakfast then your fruit then have a cup of coffee and get back to your sun bed in 30 minutes so on many cations our towels as been removed .
By 10am all beds had been taken so we spoke to reception about it and they more or less said tough that’s the rule.
If you leave your sunbed in the afternoon for more than 60 minutes your towels are removed .
They do this rule as there’s more quests than Sunbeds.
Breakfast is lovely but evening meal is dreadful.
This was our second visit first was perfect as they never had sunbed rule but this year was definitely not a relaxing holiday so no we will definitely NOT stay here again which we told reception.

Dear Allan,

thank you very much for the review. We are glad you liked the cleanliness of the hotel. We are very sorry for the inconveniences caused with the sun beds, due to current covid restrictions we have less sun beds than in previous seasons, which together with the high occupancy rates in August has led to some waiting time to get a sunbed at some points in the day. Fortunately the situation is now normalised since the start of September :)

Hope you have the chance to visit us again very soon,
