We spent a week in this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our first experience of a Parador. The room was comfortable and well appointed with a balcony that afforded a fantastic view of Malaga by day and by night, perfect for sharing a bottle after a very good meal in the restaurant. Breakfast was good, if a little expensive, but the restaurant and bar prices were very reasonable. All the staff were courteous and attentive, especially in emergencies e.g. after I had my phone stolen outside the hotel. There were no tea or coffee-making facilities in the room, but the maid always left a litre bottle of drinking water for us each day together with a small treat in the way of snacks.
The only annoying feature was that the floor above us is built into the eaves, so the balconies for those rooms are set above part of the room below. The family (sorry, herd of elephants) in the room above us enjoyed moving all the balcony furniture throughout the day. Perhaps the staff should remind guests that the noise they make affects those on lower floors.More
