We had a wonderfully relaxing week in late October 14 staying in Bel Air. The apartment is spotlessly clean, well decorated and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The complex is quiet, well maintained with a fabulous pool and the apartment has a secure parking space underneath, which is really useful.There are many local walks that you can go on and shops are available at the bottom of the hill, however I would recommend hiring a car so that you can explore the many "Old Towns" both on the coast and up in the hills; which are well worth seeing.(the mountain roads are a real experience too!)
Overall we had a great week and I would not hesitate to recommend this property.
This could very possibly be the first review where I am at risk of exceeding the trip advisor word count limit (anyone know if there is one?)....I could wax lyrical about this place and bore you silly about all of the reasons to stay here and the fact that this is quite simply the best apartment I have had the pleasure of staying in on holiday, instead I will stick to the key points and what I believe to be the things we all generally look for when renting a place for a week in the sun;
Apartment - the description on the interweb has got to be the biggest understatement, the 'lovely' statement did worry me a little, estate agent speak if ever I have seen any...the place is luxury on all levels, an entrance hall leads off into a huge living / dining room, flowing on to the kitchen with separate utility, both fully fitted with all home appliances and everything you could possibly need. Two double bedrooms and fitted wardrobes are more than sizeable to suit a family of 4 comfortably and two fully equipped bathrooms (if you are clever enough to convince your kids that the pool doesn't count as 'getting washed'). Mattresses and pillows both really comfy and hot water on demand and at a pressure bordering on power shower, a complete surprise. Aircon that works in the main living area and bedrooms, vented properly rather than blown in from separate units complimented a real home from home feel all round
Location - ideal for a relaxing holiday week, the apartment is located in a very quiet part of Estepona/BelAir, the description says that a car is advised, to be honest it is if you want to be in the centre of things, or if you are happy with the odd day trip into town, the location works perfectly. The local supermarket is around 10-15 min walk, the beach a further 10 mins, both measured at Spanish speed, not UK speed...if you are on holiday what exactly is the hurry anyway...:-) if you are inclined to venture further then the main locations of Estepona and Marbella are both short (and cheap) taxi rides away
Facilities - pool is a great size with shallow water for kids and enough space to know you had been swimming if you feel more energetic, crystal clear water with teams of people maintaining the surrounding garden area every day presented a spotlessly clean space to enjoy the sun
If you have managed to get this far through my ramblings I am going to stop now, sufficient to say, if you are looking for a place in the sun, don't want to compromise on home comforts, are happy to be somewhere quiet but within easy reach of the stuff that matters then look no further...enjoy :-)
