Found this great hotel on our way from south to north. Parkhotel Berghölzchen is in Hildesheim near the A7. The hotel is situated a few km from the center surrounted by a park, where you can have nice walks. Came quite late, but luckily the restaurant was stll open. The food in the restaurant was absolutely fantastic. The taste, the outlook and how it was served.
The personal took really care of you, our dog was also welcomed..
I highly recommend this hotel and the restaurant on your trip through or in Germany.

Stayed: October 2017, travelled as a couple

Very nice hotel with nice size on the room, clean, I think my room was newly redone. Nice view over the city, and a nice building. Lacking some in the breakfast-apartment, but nice service and dog friendly.

Marvellous is the word for enviroment, hotel, restaurant and service.
Situeted in a big park on the top of the hill with a panoramic view over Hildesheim.
You could walk in the big parkarea or visit the city with a lot of historic building,
market place, shopping or just sit down and have a nice time.

We stayed in a pretty typical hotel room. The standard was pretty much what you would expect from a normal business hotel. I suspect that they have very nice suites if you are willing to pay more than we did, but in our range it was pretty standard. So not bad but also not really nice.

The hotel is located on a hill and feels like a resort. You drive through a residential area before entering the private road to the hotel, it's maybe 500m or so.

The house is old and classic and they have added an annex with modern rooms, not sure if there are any rooms in the old part. I would go for that if they have.

What was nice:
+ Being in a forest is great
+ The staff was very friendly and helpful
+ Great value for money
+ Nice location
+ Free working wifi

What could be improved
- Breakfast was only ok
- Food in restaurant could be better
- Rooms felt very standard, could be anywhere in the world in any hotel
- The location in the park is nice but it felt underused, they should have some maps and stuff so you can go for a stroll if you'd like

Room Tip: Ask in the reception! I regret not asking

Fantastic is an understatement!
Located in the hill top and lovely experience while staying.
Brilliant service and I personally love the location and a walk around the hill where the Hotel is located.
Short drive to the town centre and a lovely view from a view point walk able from the hotel.
