This hotel is a little quirky. You do have to like dogs, there were three lounging around reception on booking in. I don't really have a problem but I could see it being a struggle for someone with allergy to dogs. I had a very noisy room - facing the front (where a lorry started pumping fuel oil at 6:15am and finished 90 minutes later) and next to the small lift. There's no double glazing and the windows don't close very well with no aircon. I could see this being very cold in the winter if the heating is poor and it was too hot on my stay. So not much sleep. At night there is a little garden with low lighting for a quiet drink and that was very charming. The shower was fine if a little jaded and the WiFi seemed to work OK. It's easy to get the Hamburg Hauptbahnhof and so to the airport. It was all just a bit odd and quite expensive as well.
