The Moxy was a great hotel for our 5-night stay in Hamburg. We found the rooms to be adequate for our travel purposes, but be forewarned thay are pretty sparse and the bathroom is tiny. Our internet TV was not working properly so just occasionally tuned into CNN or BBC. Otherwise no issues with the room. The hotel is a horseshoe around a courtyard. There were frequently loud people sitting in the courtyard, which could be heard by all the rooms with windows open (no AC so we had to keep them open), but front desk was diligent about shooing them out after 10pm. We also had the unpleasant experience of watching a couple being blatantly intimate in their rooms when looking out the window. Not pleasant.

The hotel breakfast was okay but honestly after the third day we lost interest. 22 euros - not worth it. The lobby/lounge area was fun for hanging out and for an evening drink and people watching. Fascinating mix of clientele here.

The Moxy is off the Berliner Tor S and U-bahn stop so getting into town was easy and fast. Didn't find many businesses or restaurants near the hotel though.

The front desk team ranged from wonderful and helpful to cold and disengaged. They were confused about what I got as a platinum member and I had to explain the F&B amenity to them. Didn't matter, my bill was incorrect and I am still dealing with Bonvoy on this.
