A very accommodating hotel for our trip. The hotel staff are lovely and helped us with anything we needed. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Slightly small bathroom but not a biggy for me. The best thing is the location! Very close to a number of bars, cafe and restaurants. Tube stop within walkable distance. Highly recommended. 5*

We stayed 6 amazing nights in gold hotel between Christmas to new year.
The hotel is lovely, clean, good for couples and families with kids.
The location is ok-not far from public transportation, and not too close to the center.
The staff is very good and professional!
Breakfast-5 stars!!!

I was trying to find the best word to describe my staying in this hotel and I think that "anonymous" is the one I was looking for.

The hotel welcomes its guests with a very anonymous entrance that bewildered almost everyone when they first get there.

The rooms are as anonymous as the main entrance. They are pretty small and with no mini fridge. Also, there was not enough room to put our cases, and we had only a backpack and a little carry on luggage to accommodate.

The bathroom was small as well, but seemed new.

We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, there are so many options out there that I don't think it's in any case worth it.

All in all, it's not that I had a bad experience there, but there was really nothing that made me think "yes, I would come back.". I honestly think that for the same price one could find a better place in the same neighbourhood and enjoy it better.

I have been guest at Goldhotel several times in the past months. I like the location in the heart of Friedrichshain area. The rooms must have been renewed in the past years and and really nice and comfortable. They are just a bit small, but this does not matter to me. The only thing to improve is the offered breakfast, which is lower standard and lacks in some selection. Tip: Book without breakfast and go to the dozens of various cafes next to the hotel.

Room tip: Rooms to the backside do not get any noise at all in the morning

This is my second visit to the hotel.

On this occasion we had two single rooms of very reasonable size and spotless shower/wc. Never heard a sound for the 4 nights we were there except the tramline as we chose a front room with nice open aspect

The room safe was very easy to operate. No tea-making facilities, but the hotel will provide that and some cold bottled beer etc for a charge of course, where you can sit in their conservatory area and relax or take it to your room

The staff are very friendly, helpful and sociable. Could not have been more pleasant. They will recommend any nearby restaurant and there are countless to choose from. Or they will direct you to the streets a few hundred yards beyond the hotel which are very lively with ample choices for food and drinking establishments

We had a very nice breakfast, Any time after 9am was especially quiet, but they are served from very early until 10am

The access to the hotel is via the nearby Samariterstrasse u bahn station-a very leisurely 7/10 minute stroll down a couple of blocks of tree-lined small streets.

Connects to Alexanderplatz and Frankfurter Allee for access to and from airport

This is great place in which to base yourself with easy access to the hub of Berlin. But we found the evenings were best spent around here. A busy day in and around Berlin, a nice rest in the room and then a short walk for our evening meal. Could not be better

We were able to leave our cases at the hotel for our last few hours in Berlin-spent at the nearby Tierpark Zoo- u Bahn within yards, same name

Excellent time was had by all-again-and we have to thank the Gold Hotel for making it another great holiday

Room tip: We had rooms 57 and 58 to the front with lift access. Two very decent sized single rooms Very quiet.
