“Step-style waterfall”
Review of Lechfall

Lechfall is always open. Getting there: from Fussen city center go toward milky Lech River, cross the only bridge and then go on your right little uphill road and walk up approx 15 minutes. Very handy reach by car. Lechfall located halfway between Fussen and German border, it has a thunderous waterfall (with handy WC). Worth make a stop for 10-15 minutes or on your way out of Fussen.
Picturesque place, fresh air, unusual steps-style waterfall as downstream of Lech River.

When in Fuessen we rented Bikes at the Train Station and rode down to the falls which was around 6 minutes, Vs. walking. It helped in hitting a few other sites as well.
The falls are man made, yet well worth the visit to see the green water.

From a bridge across the Lech River, one has a fantastic view of this multi-step waterfall. You can cross the border into Austria on a 50 ft. high boardwalk and visit the waterfall in the same day. There is a hiking trail near the waterfall.

While the river is low the falls are still worth the visit! It’s pretty unique and also the story of why they were built it’s cool!!

What can one say, except simply beautiful, not much parking available, but one can park in Ziegelwies, and walk 5-10 mins to the falls, also a nice restaurant with beer garden nearby
