It's an Ibis... You can't expect too much variation in terms of decor, room size and layout, facilities etc. All the hotel management can do is make the best of what they're given and, in this case, they did well. The standard rooms are well maintained, warm, clean and the bed was comfortable. That's as much as you can ask. It's in the service where they can impress and, for us, they did. The two girls on reception were charming, helpful and attentive with very fluent English. Doubling up as barmaids they served with friendliness and care.
The Breakfast Buffet was more than adequate (expensive in comparison with what you could get elsewhere but that's not unexpected)
The underground parking is a little tight but we arrived late at night and there was still room.
One slight criticism - the WiFi was difficult to connect to and sometimes unresponsive.
Otherwise they have made the best of what they have been given.

We booked this last minute because we rocked up at the Ibis Budget hotel at 6:30pm, and they had cancelled our booking at 6pm, and they were now full.

So we came here instead after driving around Augsburg. They charge €10 for parking in their basement parking space, which was small, but we were able to find a bay easily.

The room smelt a little funky, but you get used to it quick enough I guess, and then it begins to smell OK. The room itself was small, but was fine for one night. The bathroom was nice and clean, and the shower was decently sized. There’s a hairdryer and a large communal bottle of a shampoo/soap combo. There’s no other amenities (e.g. kettle).

There’s 24hr reception and the staff are really friendly and speak good English.

The cost of breakfast was too expensive, 11euros per person, parking was 10euros per night and difficult to find any spaces. No free wi-fi in the rooms and the connection in the lobby was very poor and slow, also the temperature in the bedroom was too hot with no means of lowering apart from opening a window which was not sensible as the outside temperature was below freezing most nights.

female receptionist very unfriendly.

No restaurant all weekend - no staff about to help - very hard beds with only one pillow!!!

Never again !!!!!

The staff obviously need some training in customer care!

The male receptionist was uninterested at check in. When we got yo our room we realised it was a twin room when we had booked a double. I rang reception and was told no more rooms were available,i insisted that we had a double room as booked. The same male receptionist came to our room with the key to another room,he was very rude and aggresive,he stood there in the room arguing with us saying that we had booked a twin room. My husband showed him the booking which showed a double room,he then went on to blame the booking site. We got to our new room and there was no electric, called reception again and this time the manager came,he spent quite a while checking the electrics then eventually realised there was a main switch in the room not on,surely he should have known this needed to be working. There was a hole in the wall where the air con was,no grid! Later that evening i realised i had left my kindle in the other room. I asked the receptionist if they could check, but he refused then he told me in no uncertain terms that he had seen me pick it up and that he wasnt prepared to leave a note for the cleaners. I asked at reception the following morning and a very nice lady took me up to the room immediately,my kindle was there. She was very apologetic and said they shoukd have been informed, but of course that never happened. I approached the manager when we left but no apologies were given. Would never stay here again. The staff obviously need some training in custome care!
